    Doesn't prevent ice cream headaches.

The Craft ZERO Skull hat is so warm you'll think you're sitting under a dryer at the beauty salon. But the beauty of the Zero Skull cap is that it's thin enough to wear under your helmet without making you feel like you're wearing two helmets. GORE WindStopper material prevents cool air from penetrating to your dome, while the Zero Layer fabric moves moisture away from skin, keeping you cool and collected throughout your ride.

Though this hat is thinner it will still keep my head and ears warm down to the low to mid 30s. The back and sides of the hat come down enough to cover the ears entirely and covers roughly half the neck, the front of the hat covers as much as it can without getting near the eyes. I can wear this hat comfortably in the early and late winter.

Spring or Fall, but not Winter, Hat

This hat would be fine under a helmet in the spring or fall when you just need to combat cool weather conditions. It's functionality and temperature range is closer to a traditional, cotton cycling hat than a warm winter beanie. The description says "GORE Windstopper" but I assure you that's not the case. I actually returned my first one thinking I'd been sent the wrong item by mistake. The second one was identical to the first, so I'd have to say it's just not as described.
