Skin smarter, not harder.
Tired of the lack of innovation in climbing skins, Contour took it upon themselves to revolutionize backcountry travel with the Hybrid Free Climbing Skins. They have a split design that not only allows them to fit any width of ski, but also leaves the middle exposed for improved glide, less weight, and more efficient packability. But the innovation doesn't stop there—they also employ an innovative Hybrid glue technology that sticks securely to your ski bases for reliability when you're skinning, yet pulls off your skis and separates from itself almost effortlessly, so you don't need to take off your skis to remove them or have a partner help you pull them apart in the parking lot. And since the glue is applied in sheets rather than melted on, it's much less temperature sensitive than standard glues, so it still performs well in bitter-cold temperatures. And when the adhesive gets covered in dirt and grit, you can simply clean it with warm water and mild soap so that it's like new again.

One Skin for Allllll your Skis
The beauty of the split design is that these skins can be used on different skis whose waist widths differ! Quiver skins, a back up pair for your squad, or just a pair for those thinking about getting another pair of skis but dont want to throw down for more skins.
Contour split skins
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I was hesitant to pay over $200 for these skins. There aren't many reviews and I couldn't find anyone who used any contour skins. I mostly skin up trails at resorts but do some back country. These skins are everything they claim. I use them on Head Core 93, Fisher Watea 96. They fit all of my skis perfectly. Easy on, easy off, easy to pull apart when stuck together without skin savers. They are new this year so I haven't tried washing them to rejuvenate the glue but given how spot on the manufacturer description is I'm sure it will work.
Spend the extra cash and buy the split skins you will love them.
