As the name implies, the Continental Race King 26 is designed for speed. Low-profile lugs and a rounded cross-section mean minimal rolling resistance. The lugs are also widely spaced, which means they shed dirt and mud quickly, so even soft terrain won’t hamper the Race King’s traction.
This is no wimpy race-day-only tire, however. The Race King comes with Continental’s Protection casing, so you’ll get fewer flats while you’re running this tough-as-nails tire. The Race King is also made with Continental’s revolutionary Black Chili compound, which decreases rolling resistance by 26%. Black Chili also increases the tire’s durability by 5% without adding any unnecessary weight.

I had a lot of trouble seating them tubeless. Eventually i got it but it wouldn't hold pressure for more than a day or two. Ive run a lot of other tubeless tires so i was surprised. The tire its self also doesn't say tubeless like other conti tubeless tires I've run and had no issues with. Still a good fast tire.
Rides great
Threw one of these on my XC bike which was long over due for some new rubber. Felt great riding around the few times I have been able to get out on it.
I can't say much for the durability as I have only used it a few times so far but it is some quality rubber.
Stoked on the 2.4 version
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Loved this tire so much on the front that I but the same one on the back. Makes my 26" feel closer to a 27.5 with more grip around corners. These actually work pretty well on hard pack and scree if the tire pressure is lowered a bit.
Can I run these with tubes?! Or does it only works with tubeless ready system?
YES, it could. both with tube or tubeless.
