    Easy-wearing straw hat.

Life doesn't get any better than sitting on the dock with your rod in the water, a jelly jar full of cold lemonade in one hand, and the Columbia Wrangle Mountain Fishing Hat on your head. This vented straw hat doesn't worry about too much, except maybe a hungry horse.

    PRICE ON POINT!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

For the price, it is right on point. Summer companion to keep the rays away on lazy days, Does exactly what you need it to do and the weave allows air to flow in to keep you cool so your dome doesn't overheat.

The prefect sunbrella for your head

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've used this hat for pretty much everything except hiking up a mountain. It's a great summer shade maker. The strap helps keep it on your head while the wind is whipping on the shore. The fabric on the front brim keeps you forehead from getting irritated from the grass, super comfy to wear 24/7. I've used it while fishing all different ways and it provides great coverage from the sun, without getting in the way. Easy to form back into shape if it gets crunched while traveling. Top vents keep your head cool too with the breeze.

I didn't have any problems with the sizing like some other buyers have. I just used the size guide and got a M. The brim also isn't as big an obnoxious as some of those other companies.

    On my second!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I put my first wrangle through alot and it was holding strong but I went and left it on a dang raft after a trip and I imagine someone else is still using it today! I can confidently say that thsee hats have the best sun protection, are the most comfortable and budget friendly hats available anywhere. Get one and protect yo'self!

    Great but delicate

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

My sister got this hat for a resent river trip down the Grand Canyon. While she thought it did a great job for its intended purpose (protect from the hot sun)it did not last the full 18 days of water and sun. The small fit her head a little snug (she is between and small and medium ski helmet so go figure). She said the sun protection was key but be wary of what kind of situation you are intending to use it for.

Shut up and take my money!

This hat is perfect, keeps the sun off your face and neck and doesn't start a micro climate on your noggin. Really breathable and even in the hottest weather you can still keep it on without taking it off every 20 minutes to wipe your brow. I wear a large in POC helmets and OR hats, went for the Large and it fits like a hat. Get one and protect yo'self!

    Summer's BFF.

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Picked this up specifically for gardening and it's great! It's got a stiff construction, and the brim is really generous. It's super lightweight, so I barely notice it on my melon. As for sizing, I purchased a small on the off-chance that the medium would be too big and I'm really glad I did! The small fits perfectly, and ordinarily I wear a Medium in Smith helmets (22.5 in melon circumference for reference).

    100% perfect summer hat

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

found this in the columbia store for the same price i got size XL it fits perfect. Very lightwight and comfortable to wear for long time i really like the wide brim all the way around it gives your face..ears..neck shade from the sun ...the only issue i could find or you could have is not using common sense it is after all a straw hat so dont try to pack it in a suitcase or bag ..it could be damage i love mine and wear it everyday

    Nice and deep.

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this hat for fishing this summer, and it looks great. I bought the XL since I have a large head, and it fits great. Seems like it will be pretty durable too.

    Yeah.....Nope. Not for small heads.

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I ordered a size small thinking - "Awesome, this hat actually comes in sizes, it will totally fit."

    No.

My head is about 20 or 21 inches in circumference.

If you are anywhere in that range, skip this hat.

It was deceptively larger in height and brim than the pictures led me to believe.

    GOT IT?

(Colombia doesn't get it - make smaller hats for ladies, folks!)

    Yeah.....Nope. Not for small heads.

    Make your shade

I really enjoy this hat, it stays on my head very well! Its got this nice little suade stip around your forehead so the hat does not leave a mark on your head on a hot day. I'm a 5'2 girl and I got a medium, which is the size of helmet I always get! I have taken this hat on many adventures, It has survived down a river and up a mountain and in a lake! I plan on buying this one for my dad as well!
