Steens II Mountain Fleece Jacket

The Columbia Infant Boys' Steens II Mountain Fleece Jacket is simple in design for warmth on walks around the neighborhood or layering for cross-town trips to Grandma's house. I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
True to size

I bought this for my cousins and it's just too cute! I absolutely love that it comes with little pockets and I think will it be super warm! I would definitely recommend it plus it's super affordable! I bought it in black since we don't know if it's a boy or girl yet so I think the black will be perfect.

True to size

I was looking for something that wasn't too light or too thick. This was perfect. Fits him well for the next few months to come. Love it.

SOOOOOOOO adorable! <3

Love it! Own two!

I've put it through the wringer

We bought this for our little guy when we visited Reno last year in size 12/18 and we used it all winter. Bought one fore this winter size 2T and use it all the time. Trim enough to fit in car or bike seat, but warm! He's 14 months, so it does run small, but all baby clothes do. We are planning to get one for our niece for Christmas. Great buy!

Runs VERY small

Although this coat is cute it runs terribly small and it is very slim fitting. I ordered an 18-24 month size for my 30th percentile 12 month old and I am very disappointed with how small it is. I used Columbia's size chart to order and went with this size because it is supposedly bigger than a 2T, but there is no way this will fit him when he's 18 months. Columbia's customer service department was useless to me but advised I should have ordered a 3T for my 12 month old (what?!). If this jacket fit properly it would probably be a great buy - its cheap, cute, seems pretty well made and isn't too bulky for his carseat. Too bad he won't be getting much use out of it. Backcountry is awesome but I won't be ordering anything Columbia again.

Great fleece

This fleece is really thick and very nice quality. It also has a nice tall collar to keep my little guy's neck warm.

Cute as HECK!

Got this little jacket for a friends baby shower. She didn't know what sex she was having so I got the Burnt orange/red color and it was a hit at the shower. I definitely think either sex could wear this color. It was mighty soft as well

Runs Small

Like some other reviewers wrote, this jacket runs small. I purchased the 18 months for my 11-month-old son, and he has just a bit of growing room. This jacket is soft and well made. It's not for standing outside in the middle of winter, but it keeps him warm on car rides and doesn't interfere with how his carseat should fit.

small fitting

These fit very, very small. I purchased two for my son but sent them back due to the sizing... Also, the fit isn't near as flexible as, say, LLB's, (and, sorry to say, their's also comes with a hood). I'd only give these a half a star, but the option isn't there to do so. Wouldn't recommend

very cute

cut a bit wide and short but oh so cute and warm. Got 2 in successive sizes

Good jacket

Ditto the reviewers who advised going up a size. We got the 12-month size for our 6mo son, and it fits well over sweaters and isn't too short. (I actually ordered the 6-month size to compare and opted against it since it would have been too tight over bulky clothes.)

Fall/Early Spring Jacket

Awesome jacket...I agree with one of the reviews that I read prior to buying this jacket, if your child is wearing 12 months get 18 months the torso is shorter. It is a perfect jacket for the in and out of the car trips during the winter and will be great for early spring. Don't expect to be able to stand outside in the heart of winter in this coat. Love the jacket!

Perfect for little ones

I love this for my little guy. It fits perfect and keeps him warm. It's also super soft which is important for the babies and it fits true to size, we got the 12 month size in brown.

Great First Fleece from Columbia

This is a great first fleece for your little one, that is soft, cozy, and easy to care for (washer machine and dryer friendly). One thing, the body is SHORT on this jacket. My son wears 6-12 month right now and we got him an 18 month so he could wear it longer, but it fits him now. The sleeves are longer, but the body of the jacket runs shorter. If you want a jacket that is a bit more proportional I would recommend going up to the toddler sizes.
