Rainy days on the trail make the best days.

Don't let a little rain stop you from enjoying the trail, especially with the Columbia Women's Redmond Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot. An Omni-Tech membrane adorns the Redmond with waterproof protection, while the upper ensures durability and breathability for long-lasting comfort. Columbia added a Techlite midsole for a surprising amount of cushion without the weight, and the Omni-Grip sole provides solid traction on slippery surfaces.

    Runs small

Usually I wear an 8, decided to size up to 8.5 but they just barely fit with regular socks on. If you’re planning on wearing midweight socks you should probably go one full size up.

      Love Them!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought these boots for work and to walk my husky. I work at The Home Depot in Michigan so I’m on my feet all day and it gets chilly and I have to walk across the sometimes snowy, slushy parking lot plus the dog needs her walk even when the weather is less than pleasant; she loves it when it’s snows and sleets. I wanted something comfortable, lightweight, durable, warm, water resistant and, of course, cute; these boots are all of the above! Based on previous reviews I bought a half size larger than I usually wear. With regular socks the boots were rather roomy but with my Columbia socks (I call them foot joy because these socks are awesome) they’re still a little roomy but comfortable particularly at the end of the day. I don’t believe the specified weight but nonetheless they’re not heavy and don’t hurt my legs or shins (I have a tendency to get shin splints wearing heavy boots). They are snug at the ankle but they give good support. The laces are a little long but I double tie them and they stay put all day. It took longer to break them in (4 days) than anticipated and it’s a little challenge to get my Yaks Tracks on them (my dog is like the mailman and will walk in any weather even when momma doesn’t want to). I think they were a good value and I’m very pleased!

      Runs Small

My boots just arrived yesterday. I ordered half a size up based on the reviews. I put them on with my regular socks and they just fit. Not sure how tight they will be once I put my wool hiking socks on. I should have ordered a whole size up.

        Definitely runs small

        • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

The boots are lightweight and look like they will be sturdy for our upcoming hike, but I have to return them for a larger size. Just wish I would have gone with the recommendation for up-sizing vs "true to size" reviews. I hope the 1/2 size up will be enough. I will be upset since I am not sure if my return shipping costs ($6.99 UPS) will be credited. Also hope they are waterproof.

        Redmond Hiker

        • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Bought these for my sister for Christmas and she's a happy camper, in the most literal sense. She loves that they're light weight which reduces fatigue when on long hikes. The neutral gray color is easy to coordinate, and she claims that the traction is pretty great.

        Happy with them

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
        • Height: 6'0"
        • Weight: 176lbs

I gift them as a present to my wife. She's pretty happy with them. They are pretty confortable and lightweight. She did size a number up and they fitted just fine

        Very Lightweight

        • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
        • Fit: Runs small

I gave these as a gift and got some great feedback. They're incredibly lightweight and super comfortable. They run true to size and the waterproofing hasn't leaked a drop. I was told they run a tad small and that if you are thinking of buying you should size up half a size.

        Couldn't be happier

I bought these shoes for a YNP trip. Haven't been able to try them out yet, but I've been wearing them around the house to get a feel for them. I've read all the reviews I could before purchasing them and it's true what they say about the size running small. I am a true 6 1/2 in street shoes and came to the conclusion that I would buy a 1/2 size up. Most people that reviewed the shoes having got a 1/2 size up didn't go into detail about the fit. So here goes: I put on a pair of Stance socks since those are the socks I'll be wearing with them outdoors. The shoe is pretty stiff and fits snugly around the foot. There's actually enough room to wiggle the toes. It feels the most tight around the ankle, which is great if you have weak ankles like mine and need a little support. Overall, I think once they're broken in that they'll fit perfectly. Although I can't speak much on the waterproof aspect, I can't complain about the price. I'm super happy with the fit and the color and I can't wait to take them on my trip!

          runs small

          • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
          • Fit: Runs small
          • Size Bought: 7

I usually wear a 6 1/2 or 7. These 7's fit tight on both feet & my toes squished to the front. Also, the laces were short & unless I tied the shoe very tight, the laces were too short to tie in a double knot.

          Light... almost too lightweight

          • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
          • Fit: True to size

I gave these boots as a gift, but they are nothing short of incredible. Coming in at just 6-oz a piece, they are some of the lightest, fully waterproof boots I can find. They are definitely made for a normal width foot, although the person I gave them to has a slightly wider foot and has been able to make them work comfortably. The fit was true to size, and from the feedback I have gotten, the shoes themselves are incredibly comfortable to wear. You will likely be hard pressed to find a more lightweight, waterproof boot for hiking and snowshoeing!

          Sturdy boot

          • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
          • Fit: Runs small

These are great boots for hiking. The fit is pretty small. I would size up .5 to 1 size larger. The ankle support makes the boot feel very sturdy. They are pretty stiff but I have not gotten blisters wearing them!

          Unanswered Question

Is the entire shoe waterproof and warm? For example, will my feet stay dry if I step in a pile of snow or a puddle?
