I purchased these boots for use on our coldest days in NW Montana. Unfortunately, I didn't get to put them to use due to the boots folding and creasing just behind the toe box creating a very uncomfortable pressure point on my foot. Sent'em back.

I bought a pair last year. They were a little stiff, but not fastening the top loop made all the difference when walking. Great grip on ice. -65? Not a chance. I was in -20 below and I could feel the cold on the sides of the boots. Now, when it is -20 without any wind, a lot of things feel like they are going to freeze off and the only chance your feet can handle it for long are with large pac-type boots. With that said, they are comfortable enough to wear into work, when hiking snowshoeing and even ice fishing, but not the type to sit all day on a frozen lake or in a deer stand without some hear source. Not the market here anyway. A good, waterproof boot-let, that you can move in.

Where were you in -20?

My boots came apart at the seams after only a few wears, but worst part is that Columbia did not stand behind their product!

Coulmbia has the worst customer service department, they deny most claims, this I know from personal experience. Even an item damaged from normal use is not covered by warranty service, Columbia will NOT repair their products even if the customer is willing to pay.
