I bought this for a backpacking trip and it packed well. Perfect layer for the cold mornings and liked the fit. Would recommend going one size bigger per the other reviews. I wear a medium, so ordered a large and it fit perfectly. Arms were plenty long enough.

Favorite Hiking Jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this jacket. Quality of fabric and zipper are good. Although it is not bulky and very packable, it offers a great deal of warmth. I use it for hiking in high altitudes. Comfortable to take it off when weather warms up and tie it around my waist. My daughter has one too and she is pleased with this purchase as well.

Runs a Bit Small

Well made Jacket for the cold and chilly seasons.

i wanted to like this jacket, but...

I hate to give any Columbia jacket a 1-star review, but... this jacket simply isn't warm at all for me.. Wearing this jacket, i am cold in the 50s, farenheit (mind you, i get cold very easily). I like the fitted styling of the jacket though.. it *does* look cute on (and the pockets are very nice) but.. (a) it's not warm, (b) this jacket runs a size smaller than other Columbia jackets. In all [recent years] Columbia jackets, i am an XS but this one, i needed to size up to SMALL (which is fine, because i got to try on the jackets in the store, but had i ordered online, this would've caused a hassle requiring an Exchange)
