Insanely warm gloves
Ok, before I bought these gloves, I look at reviews and realized that some people still think these gloves are not warm in certain conditions. Now, I haven't been skiing with them yet but I just went out in below freezing temperatures WITH fair amount of wind and let's keep in mind that my hands and feet get cold very easily, I had thermals on with very thin joggers and a windbreaker jacket and while my hands were cold for the first half hour, after walking a bit with my dog, my hands started to warm up. Keep in mind, it's freezing cold, there's no one outside. I've never been able to stay a steady warm temperature in freezing cold, especially with the clothing I was wearing. While my body was still kinda cool because I did not layer at all, my warm hands and feet were able to stabilize my overall temperature. These gloves are insanely good. I lived in Chicago for 2 years and I would put on 4-5 layers of clothes and my hands would still be cold under wool gloves. This thing doesn't let any air inside and you don't feel any temperature touching cold surfaces. If these gloves ain't doing it for you then you're doing it wrong. You don't need anything warmer than this considering the scenario I was in today.

Decent gloves so far!
I just received these gloves. I only tried them out in weather that was about 20F. My hands actually felt hot. I think they will work well. My only complaint is that I wish the gloves had a drawstring cuff similar to my Bugaboo and Whirlibird gloves. The Velcro closure to tighten the cuffs is harder to manipulate with limited dexterity and does seal as good as those drawstrings do. It has also been my experience that all Columbia gloves run small (these do also). I normally wear a large size, but I had to get an extra large which fit me perfectly.

I wore them in 20 degrees with 10 mph wind on hour bike ride, they kept my hands warm for about 30 minutes. Fingertips became cold after that but they eventually did warm up after a while again once I kept moving my fingers as I could. They are pretty flexible for gears and brakes. The most negative thing is there is literally no nose wipe at all on them! You need a good soft nose wipe for winter rides, I have created my own to use but would be better with something built in to the gloves. All in all pretty good gloves

Powder Keg II Mens Gloves
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Originally purchased for ice fishing, but then used them for cold weather snow skiing. In both cases the gloves lived up to expectations. Very comfortable, no break in involved and WARM!

Not enough for MN cold
It is -20F today when I tried this pair. Too tight in the finger tips. My hands didn't feel warm enough. Going to try a different brand next time. Disappointed!

Not for big hands
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Columbia products and these gloves look well-made, but "XL" gloves don't fit my XL hands. I have normal-sized hands for 6' 2" height but Columbia doesn't make gloves that fit me. The glove fingers are so tight that they restrict blood flow. I have given away three pair of XL gloves to small men or women who love them. I don't know what a good Columbia glove feels like.
