Upgrade your old, tired rain shell with the Columbia Outdry Ex Eco Shell Jacket, and you'll be supporting sustainable production methods each time you wear it out on the trails. When creating the Outdry, Columbia worked to eliminate all intentionally used PFC's in production, and it also completely cut out fabric dye, leaving the jacket in the same color its fabric arrived to save an estimated 13 gallons of water per jacket.
Additionally, the completely polyester face fabric was constructed using 100% recycled polyester fibers, and Columbia continued its thoroughness by using recycled materials to craft small details on the jacket, like zippers, thread, and labels. Feel good while you stay dry on misty trails from the Cascades to the Appalachians in this lightweight, fully sealed shell.

OutDry Eco Tested by Park Ranger
Columbia Titanium OutDry ECO Extreme jacket tested in some seriously wet conditions!
Macklemore checks out the OutDry ECO
Yup, Macklemore. He's rad, and he just happens to be from the Pacific Northwest. Here's what he has to say about the Columbia OutDry ECO Jacket.
Made from 21 plastic bottles!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
After checking out the the Columbia Outdry EX ECO jacket during a trip to Columbia headquarters, I'm quite impressed. First, it is fully waterproof and breathable like all OutDry jackets. But this is special, it's the ECO version. Believe it or not, it's made out of 21 recycled plastic bottles - a much better place for them than in the landfill or the ocean. And why is it white? Well, in addition to making it look super fresh, it also saves over 13 Gallons of water per jacket due to the Dye-Free fabric. A very cool jacket, I'm impressed that Columbia was able to create such an environmentally friendly jacket without sacrificing any of the technical prowess.
Does this jacket have pit zips for core ventilation? Must have for active folks outdoors!
