Not for mild weather

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium
  • Height: 5'10"
  • Weight: 190lbs

Well, I was sent the wrong color combo, one that isn't advertised on this site. Backcountry said I could return it when they get the one I ordered back in stock, but I decided to stick with what I got. Anyway, that's beside the point. The jacket is lightweight and has a nice retro vibe to it. The material is water resistant, but you'll definitely get soaked in a downpour (my wife also got one and decided to wear it in heavy rain - not a good idea). That being said, this thing gets HOT. I thought I could wear it in the 40's, but the jacket heated up really quickly. Wore it again in the 20's and that was a much better, but I still got pretty warm, so I wouldn't recommend doing too much layering. As far as sizing goes, it fits well but seems to be a little shorter compared to other Columbia gear I have. It fits comfortably at my waist, but if you want he extra length, you'll want to size up.

Best Pullover Ever

I bought this, thinking that it was a cool pullover. Little did I know, I pulled this out of the package and immediately sank to my knees and wept tears of pure joy, and by "pure joy" I mean "pure America". I tried this jacket on for the first time and immediately my max bench press increased by 100lbs.

all the cool pullovers

I got this as a gift for my husband who is hoodie obsessed. The price point and color blocking made me think that Colombia has taken a turn toward the stylish. Make no mistake, this thing is technical. The reflective lining is super warm, but gets a bit sticky if you don't wear sleeves. All in all, a great jacket.
