Good buy
Solid design. The jacket is nice. I bought it for next year, but the quality appears great.

Columbia has better for the same price...
Purchased for 6yo grandson who is active little guy whether outside playing or snowboarding. He didn't like it bc it wasn't very "bendy" and was "noisey". The arms are very long! Do not like the "OutGrow" system bc the sleeves are extra wide esp at the wrist. Only removed one star bc of reasonable price and warmth. He much preferred another one, same colors but much more comfortable (sorry, can't see the name of it rt now but will review that one too).

Sizing is way off
Well guess of course the quality for the product was satisfactory as it’s columbia for God’s sake, but come on… the sizing is awful… I bought two pairs M and L of this same jacket, for my kids and I don’t het it how and why manufacturers think that kids have this freakishly long hands

Not warm enough
Not warm enough for spring in Chicago . My son who's pretty tough with weather has been complaining that he's cold he switched from his North face jacket to this one. I got it as a spring jacket for him never intended it for winter and I'm pretty disappointed that he's cold when the weather is 40- 50

My son was in this jacket under steady rain for 2 hours in the 40s temp. It totally kept him warm and dry. The color "Collegiate Navy Timberwolf" is lovely, not too boring, but not too childish. The XS still quite big for my 5 years old. Looking forward for him to grow into it.

Zipper sucks!
My son has this coat and the zipper is constantly getting stuck or coming undone at the bottom.

Last year for my son
So my son is growing into men sizes. I'll have to find something similar to this for him because he loved it. Loved the colors, was comfortable and warm. Made well and high quality.

All good, but the zipper
Coat is fantastic (fit, cold protection, etc) with the exception of the zipper. Out coat is on its second winter and the front zipper gave out. Very uncharacteristic of Colombia coats in our opinion. Not sure if this is due to manufacturing or quality of materials, but diasappointed.

Terrible Zippers
Nice looking jacket. I have purchased three Columbia jackets for my boys and every single one of them got a broken zipper less than a year after purchase. Looking into North Face for next time.
