Everything on this jacket seems appropriate. For $25 you wouldn't expect that it would have taped seams. I feel that for a $25 jacket it actually does a pretty good job. It's not a GREAT rain jacket but you don't get a GREAT jacket for $25. That's why I'm still giving it 4-stars because it's definitely a GOOD rain jacket for $25. I feel that rain jackets should always have velcro cuffs and it could also use some sort of closure on the pockets - preferably zippers. I'd say it's definitely good enough for the occasional rain and as a shell for general use. If I lived somewhere with frequent rain I'd likely opt for something else.
