Like Walking on Clouds

I've put it through the wringer
True to size

I'm not sure why so many others have problems with the waterproof-ness but I haven't. They're waterproof in the rain, in puddles, and in the snow. I haven't waded into a river with them however, but I suspect that if the water level reached the level of the tongue you'd have leakage. Over the winter they've kept my feet warm but they lose their effectiveness after 75F where things start getting uncomfortable. Below freezing and I start to notice the cold although it is not uncomfortable. I haven't tested them below 20F. Most importantly, however, they are incredibly comfortable. Like, wow! This is AMAZING! I really felt like I am walking on clouds when I'm wearing these. Both indoors and out. I do have three gripes with them, but they are not dealbreakers. Even though they are very comfortable walking "boot-sneakers", you can feel rocks if hiking over rough terrain. Second, they are slippery on black ice in parking lots. Third, I wish the top loops were "quick release" -- it's annoying that I need to tie them up and down every time. Other hiking boots have that feature and I miss it. Overall although I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase. After 600 miles of walking in them, they still look brand new. The fabric on these is incredibly rugged. Highly recommended.

Great but not

Fort bought these for a thought hike in the Adirondacks in the snow thinking they would be great. i did test them first and they were great! Super warm and comfortable so I was excited to take them on my trip , although I alway bring backups and thank goodness ! The morning started off great, very cold but the boots were working fantastic , great grip and comfort make this difficult 3 mile journey no bad. Until I stepped off the trail into 20 inches of snow . One step and my boots because completely soaked. But I thought it’s understandable as long as my feet stay warm , which the Omni heat technology is very good at ... as long as you are moving. My one may warning is they are super flammable! Or “meltable” I should say because around 8pm on my first night as I was sitting about 4feet away from the fire my buddy goes “Hey what’s that yellow thing” so as I went to rub off whatever this “yellow thing “was I noticed that, although sitting back safely enough from the Fire, the inside on both of my boots had melt all of the waterproof outer material completely though!! Everyone in my group was in complete shock and made fun of my awful boots , and also as I tried to safely dry them afterwards even farther away with low heat the rubber outsoles began to melt as well. So my question is what good is a winter boot if you can’t warm in up? And also teaches the lesson of bring a back up! Although the first thought of these boots has me excited .. I quickly realized these are not meant for back country , AT ALL! They were comfortable though !
