Count the flakes.
Outfit her in the Columbia Toddler Girls' Double Flake Reversible Set before you two head outside and watch the snow fall. The water-resistant shell sheds snowflakes, and she can reverse it for a fresh look. Farenhot insulation helps the jacket stay nice and toasty even if it gets wet. The bib pant also features water-resistant fabric, and the microfleece lining adds warmth as well as smooth, soft comfort. There are adjustable suspenders to ensure a snug fit, and the internal leg gaiters keep snow out of her boots. Columbia's OutGrown grow system extends the sleeves so she can wear this next season, even if she grows a few inches.

Great snowsuit for toddlers
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
- Fit: Runs large
I bought this as a gift for my 3 year old granddaughter. It keeps her very comfortable and warm. I like that it is not bulky and she can move around comfortably. It was a little big on her, which means she can still use it one more year.
Warmth that grows with your child
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: 3T
- Height: 3'0"
- Weight: 31lbs
I love this setup for my daughter. The quality is solid (not high end, but good) and the best part is you can let out the legs as your child grows allowing you to get more than just a season out of them. I do recommend layering underneath, but I would do that regardless of what you buy in order to give you more temperature control.
* I did notice in Steve's review above mine that he didn't see any micro fleece. I don't believe the jacket has anything like that but the pants certainly do. Have a look at the detailed images above to get an idea.
The construction seems good to me. We've used it several times to ski and go sledding and just play in the snow, and I haven't seen any quality issues come out. The material isn't as nice as say an Arcteryx jacket, but for the price and considering it's a child using it, it's great.
The product fits quite well, even on my daughter's small frame, and isn't so bulky to be a problem.
Considering that kids at this age grow so quickly being able to get a couple of seasons out of this product is a huge plus for me and my wife. I don't want to be buying new gear every season if I can avoid it, so these are great in that regard.
Not as advertised
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
This jacket and pants are very thin and don't seem very well insulated. Also, there is no microfleece lining as the description says. If you're going to buy this for your child, make sure they are well insulated with proper layering. Otherwise, seek a thicker set.
Not as pictured, but still looks good.
I just received the purple lotus color in the mail today. I was nervous about ordering it because it looks very blue, not purple. It is infact a true purple, which I really like. The reverse side is not the light minty color however. One side is solid purple, and one is purple and mint (as shown). I happen to like it better than what is pictured, but just be aware. It is a true purple, and the solid side is purple, not mint.
Also, the "outgrown" feature that allows you to lengthen then pants by 1.5 in is a one time thing. If you want to lengthen them, you pull a string (basically an internal hem) releasing more fabric and they get longer. If you wanted to save the pants for another younger child, you cannot (at least as it appears to me) make them shorter again. The outgrow feature is not on the sleeves of the jacket as far as I can see.
It does seem warm though, and good quality, but as it hasn't snowed yet I can't say for sure.
