Options, options, options.
Winter weather patterns are all over the place, from sunny and cold, to raining, to snowstorms that chill you to the bone. The Columbia Men’s Calpine Interchange Jacket is ready for all of them, giving you options for anything winter throws your way. The shell has a waterproof and breathable Omni-Tech membrane to keep out even the heavy, wet snowfalls, and the liner insulates you from the after-storm chill with a combination of down and synthetic insulation. Combined, this jacket makes you ready to take on a cold, wet, storm day with confidence. If you are lucky enough to enjoy that storm day at the resort, utilize the underarm vents during the downhill charge to release heat, while the powder skirt and attached hood keep the snow outside your jacket where it belongs.

Very good jacket with FLAWS
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: Medium
- Height: 5'7"
- Weight: 165lbs
Very good jacket and does what you need but has some flaws. It keeps you warm and dry, which is key on the slopes or if you're outside in a winter storm with the snow and rain rolling off the sleeves. One minor issue is you cannot close the powder skirt unless the inner jacket is unzipped. For some this won't be a problem. The jacket sizes run narrow & closer to the body and has a longer length, so beware if you're carrying a few extra pounds (go one size higher than your usual). The one MAJOR FLAW is that the main zipper doesn't have a reversible zipper to unzip from the bottom up. When you want to sit down, you either have to unzip completely to comfortably sit or roll the bottom of the jacket up (tacky) if you want to remain zipped up. Either of which could be avoided by simply unzipping from the bottom. I've had previous Columbia jackets with this fantastic and very useful feature, yet this model is lacking. For these reasons I can't give this jacket 5 stars. If Columbia fixes these design flaws in future models, then it will definitely regain 5 stars.
not for stalky people
- Size Bought: large
- Height: 5'4"
- Weight: 180lbs
Mid weight coat bought for Minnesota winter. Love the coat but it's not meant for stalky people. The arm length as well as the length of the coat was just too long.
Great jacket, but ran large!
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs large
I bought this jacket to give to my boyfriend, but we ended up having to return it unfortunately. It is a great jacket; VERY warm, waterproof, and it looks cool. Unfortunately the jacket was pretty big on him. It was very long, and the shell looked pretty baggy. I wish it fit better because I really liked the jacket! There were lots of different pockets to put things, and the inside was a shiny silver.
UPDATE- I ended up buying this jacket again in a different color for my Dad and it fit him! He likes his jackets a little longer, so the fact that it covered his butt a little didn't matter to him. It is a very nice looking jacket and has down insulation making it super warm. He also loved that you can take it apart and make it a rain jacket!
Overall this is a good jacket if you are okay with it being a little long. It is very well made and you have so many different options with it.
