One jacket for skiing, hiking, biking, and cruising around town.

An interchangeable liner system inside the Columbia Bugaboo Girls' Parka means your little lady only needs one jacket for spring showers, cool autumn days, and blustery winter storms. The outer jacket features waterproof Omni-Tech with a nylon face fabric to help keep out the winter elements. This layer also employs an Omni-Heat thermal reflective liner to help keep in the heat. The inside jacket is a removable fleece liner. Worn alone, or zipped together, this versatile fleece liner and shell combination let her conquer the weather and look great in the process.

You'll appreciate the OutGrown system that allows you to let out the sleeves 1.5 inches instead of having to buy her a new jacket in the middle of the season. Zippered pockets let you load her up with snacks and hand-warmer packs before she heads out to make snow angels or hurl snowballs.

Keeps my daughter dry and warm. She seems to enjoy being outside in the rain more in this jacket than any of her previous jackets. I caught her sweeping our deck in the rain the other day. What child voluntarily sweeps a deck, and does it in the cold rain, I guess one who doesn't have to worry about being wet and chilly.

She says she likes that she can wear the fleece liner on its own. Considering how difficult it is to get her to put on a jacket its nice to have one she is eager to put on.

    Warm + Dry

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The two things I want my daughter to be are Warm + Dry and this jacket does both. We layer up underneath and make sure she has good mittens, but other than that the jacket does the rest. We've taken out the mid-layer and used it during the Spring and Fall and it has worked perfectly. The OutGrown feature will be nice for this year. We also bought the matching bibs and they never allow snow to get inside.

    Great looking but very lightweight

I read that the jacket was quite light weight but thought I would give it a try anyway. The jacket was great looking and my daughter loved the star pattern. However, she would have frozen in it. It's very thin, even with the zip in layer. Probably would work for school with a sweater underneath, but definitely not for skiing in cold weather.

    Interchange saves the day!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

The Interchange system makes this a year-round option in my neck o' the woods. The fleece liner can be use in the Spring and Fall, the shell is a great rain jacket in the Summer. I zip them together and it's a great Winter coat. Fits true to size.

    Great jacket

I gifted this jacket and have only heard compliments on its use and quality. The inner layer detaches and makes for a nice, casual jacket when not out on the slopes

    Good looking, nice details

Columbia has been the go to for kids winter gear for a few season. We are just about to outgrow the old stuff so in with the new! This jacket is a great option with a lot of flexibility. Outer jacket, inner jacket, 2-in-1, 2 at the same time? Yup, all that.

Really well put together. Outgrow system is priceless and works perfectly.

A few comments - separating the insulation from the jacket itself means no powder skirt. We've liked that feature to really seal out the cold, we'll see how we do this year. And when you zip in the fleece and zip up tight you have 3 fairly large zippers all at the chin. Annoys me and I'm not even wearing it. Its a lot better if you keep them separate and only end up with 2 zippers. This might not be an issue on the way to school, but on the slopes it can get bothersome with a gaiter, etc...
