If you’ve got some chaffing problems, these shorts definitely help. They are slightly slightly on the tighter side if you’re curvy, so maybe size up. Great for summer hiking since it’s light material.

I bought the gray short, and I love the material (lightweight) and length of the short. The legs are narrow yet comfortable for hiking and look nice. My only complaint is the shorts are very low waisted which isn't good for me. But I am keeping them because the length and fabric are terrific.

I've purchased many Columbia pants in the past and always been well satisfied. (Four this fall, 2 of 4 a second pair of pants I liked.) I was excited to see the long shorts, for I had a pair a few years ago and these were well reviewed. Not for me. The rise was extremely short, not like the very similar capri pants. (I have two pairs.) The size was correct, but the very short rise made the shorts both unattractive and unbearably uncomfortable. I could never have hiked, biked or scrambled about my sailboat in them. The fabric and workmanship was fine, but the design flawed to fit only a few well. I was sorry to have to return them.

I got this for my Mom as a gift. Here's what she had to say: "True size. Very lightweight and comfortable. They hardly feel like you are wearing anything, they are so lightweight, however, they are not too thin or see-through material. They are just very comfortable and quite nice. They have two good size side pockets and a good size back pocket with a Velcro closure. The length is what I wanted – it hits just above my knee."

I bought these for my sister in law and she loves them! Very comfortable stretch material, they look great (capri/short), wick away moisture and dry really quick. I would definitely say these fit true to size but they do stretch so most people could probably get away with a size smaller if you want a snugger fit. Compared to the more expensive competition, it's a great deal for what you are getting!

I like these for work and play - I bought in the size 8 and they hit me middle of knee (short legs, and long body), so I could almost call these capris and get away with these at work. I actually pulled the drawstring out, it seemed unnecessary, and I haven't really missed it. Great, deep pockets (my favorite part), and the fabric is super soft and quick drying too.
