Why We Like The Skydome XL Tent
We pack the Skydome XL Tent when we get the gang together for a weekend of trail exploring and s'more making. The pre-attached poles and color-coded rain fly let us set up in under five minutes, so we can get to stoking the fire quicker. Ground vents increase airflow, so the 10 of us can sleep comfortably through the night. If a shower rolls through, the seam-sealed tub floor and fly gives us complete waterproof coverage, while the room divider makes a perfect projector backdrop for a rainy day movie.

Dark!
Super dark inside, good quality, easy to set up! Huge inside and comes with a room divider.

Decent tent, dimensions could be better.
Keeps it nice and dark, which allowed me to sleep in. Walls get pretty warm in the sun, but it does cool off rather quickly. Wish it was taller as my head hits the ceiling everywhere but the middle. We switched from an older Coleman Canyon Ranch (I believe). The footprint on this one is similar, but smaller. My head did not hit the ceiling in the old tent and hoped this would be the same. Unfortunately, it is not. Also, stake points in the middle of the short ends would be a nice addition. This tent only stakes at the corners on the short ends. Overall, decent tent and it kept us dry with one night of decent rainfall.

Good tent
Was impressed with tent. Easy set up. It was super dark inside so that took a moment to adjust. We had air conditioner inside and in TX heat it was very comfortable. 2 doors is neat feature. First night had storm and tent held up well with wind and rain. Got 2 Queen air mattresses comfortably with AC and still had wiggle room.

Decent build but unfavorable pole design
I previously had purchased a Dicks house brand Quest family size tent that had ripped the first time taking it out with the family. My expectations for Coleman are much higher when it comes to quality. Im a pretty avid outdoorsy person but when it comes to large family size tents there aren't many options. We have the yearly family camping trip coming up and so I decided to set it up beforehand so I’m not caught off guard when we go. It was a little bit of a let down to be honest. I’m am not a fan of the whole pre attached poles it’s awkward and just not as easy to work. One of the tips on the attached side was already broken before even unrolling it and it’ doesn’t surprise me- this is is probably its biggest fault in design. I was able to get it set up by myself in about 15-20 min and it’s pretty spacious and overall build quality seems decent. Definitely a 2 person setup minimum. I think it’s a fair value especially if you can get it on sale.

Great tent
We bought this tent for our family of 7. It was perfect for us. We have only used it once in the backyard but we're looking forward to many years with this tent.

Darkroom worked like a charm
We tried out in backyard and darkroom technology worked great, kids didn’t wake up until 7-8am.

Amazing black outness, but some downsides
It's a great tent.. Not the easiest to set up - I think we prioritized black out over pop up, which was maybe a mistake. Did get easier when we did it the second time. Black out technology is pretty amazing. it was pitch black!! The sides are all mesh so quite a bit of air flow happens at night - got pretty cold, but it was a particularly cold weekend so I'm not sure if other tents would have kept more cold air out..

Perfect for a night out with the kids!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was perfect for the night out with the kids! We enjoyed camping with three kids and it held up nicely for the night we put it up. We will have to test it out more but we sure liked it so far. I would recommend this to other family and friends.
