    Great tire for all conditions

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

    Been riding these hard for about a month through dry to wet to sloppy conditions, on and off road. Very satisfied with traction and rolling resistance.
    It is so nice to be able to run low pressures on rough terrain.
    Seating tubeless tires can sometimes be a challenge. The posts about tires with lumps and wobbles indicate they have not seated the tire completely on the rim. Sometimes the specific fit of the tire to the rim is tight, and requires the tire to be lubricated before pressurizing (I've used water in the past).

    Great gravel tire

    I've been using these tires on my Niner RLT for the past year. I initially ran them front and rear on Stan's Ironcross rims, but I swapped the front out for a bigger (and similar) WTB Riddler 45. I mostly ride fairly rough mountain gravel roads and doubletrack and even singletrack some times. These tires have held up great through what I think are pretty harsh conditions at times. I was surprised to read some bad reviews on here because I've only experienced and heard great things about these tires. I'm not sure about the weight but I suppose they're not the lightest tire. They are very durable and air up easily tubeless.

    Really bummed

    I chose these tires based on great feedback on the internet. To start with they were really hard to set and and i could not remove a wobble out of the tire. I pumped the tire up to 90 psi based on a recommendation from local shop but I had no luck. Long story short there is a problem with these tires. Read all the reviews it seems that CC does not know what to do with these tires. DO NOT BUY!

    4 tires, all with lumps in them - DANGER

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

    I thought the first two tires I bought might have just been bad luck, but after buying another set from backcountry and seeing the exact same lumps, I knew it must have been an issue with production.

    I mounted these up on 4 different wheel and even took them to my LBS to see if I had done something wrong. They confirmed that my wheels were true and that something was off with the tire. These are very dangerous to ride, especially if you're going over 30mph. You're going to get some possible wheel wobble on the front. Don't ride on these if you have the same issue.

    Crazy, I had the same issue on mine and I thought it was something the bike shop did wrong when they set them up tubeless. That's BS for a product that expensive that was made in Taiwan. Thanks for posting video.

    Great tire

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

    I replaced some Schwalbe X-Ones with these MSPs on my gravel bike. I liked the X-One a great deal, but for general gravel riding as compared to racing cross, the MSP is a big improvement in rolling resistance without giving up much in the traction department.

    Also, these set up tubeless extremely easy. They have a tight bead and require nothing more than a good floor pump to set the bead.

    A Great Gravel Tire

    36c makes this tire a pretty ideal width for tackling gravel and light off road while still fitting in most if not all cross/gravel bike frames. The treads are just there enough to give you decent grip while ripping up some gravel, but won't slow you down too much when riding on pavement. Tubeless ready, so pair these with a nice tubeless ready wheelset like Stan's Grail and lower that air pressure all the way down to keep you comfortable while riding all day.

    Buying another set, I loved the 40 MSO tires because I could fit them in a carbon frame of mine (just), built a new bike and had tubeless rims, so WTF!? These tires popped onto the rim (Stan's, btw) so smooth, best tubeless tires I have tried on my wheels! I've run 'em up to 60 on my rims, no issues with as low as 20, they are GREAT!!!!

    Is this tire 60 or 120 TPI?

    I decided to call CC to get an answer. The guy on the phone could not have been *less* helpful. Explained that CC gets tires that may be OEM takeoffs which would have a TPI between 60-120, may be 120 or may be 60. He indicated CC has no additional specs to offer. I did not order.

    @ Matthew K. - Thanks, when I wrote my response there was not much information on tubeless MSOs. CC has also added that these are tubeless ready to the description; wasn't there originally.
