Easily broken

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Honestly, these weren't my favorite pair of chums the moment I got them but I figured they were worth a shot since they are SO lightweight and minimalist. After trying them out for about a week, they broke! The little wire came right out of the retainer part that connects to my sunglasses. I would go for a different style of Chums, these just weren't for me and I was disappointed in how easily/fast they broke.

Why Do I Keep Dropping Things?

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

After dropping my glasses while climbing and then dropping another pair of sunglasses to the bottom of the lake I decided that I was not responsible enough to keep my glasses on my head 100% of the time.

A Must-Have!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Fit:
True to size

Anyone with sunglasses (everyone), should really have a pair of Chums. These will your life much less stressful, as you will always have your trusty pair of glasses around your neck. Pretty simple idea and a very useful piece of technology that could prevent you from having to buy new glasses.

High Tech Croakies

Who knew that you could engineer fancy croakies, but it's been done. These are made of a stiff, thin cable material that seems very abrasion resistant and sleek. Because it's stiff, it does not droop down onto the back of your neck. I really like that because it doesn't get caught in your collar or hoodie. However, it's also a little weird because it stick straight out behind you...and interesting look. But for activities where style isn't paramount (such as fly fishing) they're very useful. I like how the rubber thingies attach to the sunglasses - it seems quite secure and out of the way. Also note that these are shorter than a traditional sunglasses retainer.

you won't lose your shades

You won't lose your shades unless you take your glasses off from around your neck with these chums. They worked great until I had to remove my shirt, requiring me to remove the sunglasses with the chums, then I walked off :( super bummed! The rubber gripper on these alone are worth the $10 as it allowed my plastic arms to grip better on my head. Prior to using these, the glasses would not sit up on my head, they did after I put these on. One thing I noticed, while wearing a collared shirt and turning your head side to side, the rubber will grip your shirt and the glasses would get shoved to the side of your face. This is a negative, yet a compliment at the same time for how well these grip. I will be buying another pair.

works good

I like these they hold the glasses on your head with the rubber tips. Doesn't get caught under my collar, and doesn't get wet when it rains and runs down your back. Tip: the cable has a natural angle up or down coming out of the end of the rubber tip where it attaches to the bow of your glasses. Works best if both are pointed down. Unintentionally tried one up and one down and it was wonky. That is a technical term.
