    Your wish has been answered.

The wishes of cyclists and shop technicians around the world were answered when Chris King introduced the PressFit 24mm Bottom Bracket. Their reputation for turning troublesome components into reliable and easy-to-tune parts was solidified with this PressFit 24mm Bottom Bracket.

First, the bottom bracket holds 24 stainless steel ball bearings in each cartridge. They’re not just any ball bearings; Chris King manufactures them to a precision that is much higher than industry norms to ensure reliability and long life. The bearings are even easy to service with the Grease Injection Tool (sold separately). This lets you easily add fresh grease and purge the old gunk.

The Chris King PressFit 24mm Bottom Bracket fits 24mm road cranks and 86.5mm bottom bracket shells, 24mm mountain cranks, and 89.5mm or 92mm bottom bracket shells, out of the box. 86.5mm shells and 24/22mm road cranks will require King's Conversion Kit #7, while 24/22mm mountain cranks and 89.5 or 92mm shells will need Conversion Kit #6.

    Best BB

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Got this for my PF frame and wanted a bb that you would not need to pull out and replace. Love how easy the maintenance is on these guys. So for no noise form my frame either.

Mine works great, but do you find they are a little on the stiff side? With no chain installed, I can only get the cranks to rotate 2 or 3 times when I spin them hard. I guess I'm comparing it to the BBInfinite which just spins and spins.

    Smooth Like Butter

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I installed this to replace a super creaky Shimano bottom bracket. I had upgraded my cranks to XTR 9020s, so I decided to upgrade my bottom bracket as well. Fit right into my 2013 Scott Spark 89.5mm bottom bracket shell with the included 2.5mm spacer. Super smooth and easy to maintain. Chris King makes bomb proof kit. Probably weighs a few more grams than the Shimano BB, but it is really negligible when compared to the level of quality.

    Couldn't be happier

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Bought these as an upgrade when I shattered my plastic Shimano cups trying to do maintenance. I couldn't be happier with the ease of installation or how well they perform in all conditions, dry or wet. Do they turn easier, sure, but what I like most is that they are rather bullet proof with the way Chris King designed them. These are mounted on my Giant Defy which should be pictured.

    Unanswered Question

I have a 2012 giant Defy composite with Sram Apex group. It has the Sram GXP BB. Will this BB replace that BB? Will I need any conversion kits?
