Z/2 Classic Wide Sandal

Cradling wider-than-average feet, the Chaco Men's Z/2 Classic Wide Sandal is a supportive choice for far-flung travel, everyday adventures, and rowdy river runs. The Z/2 is an excellent option if you've come to love Chaco Sandals, but desire a bit more room to alleviate cramped feet and toes. Pull-through adjustable straps ensure a custom fit while the ladder lock buckle keeps the straps firmly in place during active use.

Realizing that slippage is a major issue in the water, the Z/2 sports a textured polyurethane footbed for extra grip. The anti-odor footbed treatment fends off funky odor build-up, especially during extended treks in humid weather. Plus, the LUVSEAT midsole supports your every step with its ergonomic shaping and plush feel. And to stand up to the rigors of hiking and paddling, the ChacoGrip rubber sole ensures tenacious traction across rugged trails and slippery shorelines.

Awkward At First.

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Fit:
True to size

I usually don't wear sandals but after some thought I decided to give these a try. The first day was a little tough. I couldn't figure out a comfortable fit and I felt awkward wearing them. After giving them a few days to break they've become way more comfortable and I wear them all the time now.

I'm a Teva guy but thought I'd give these a try. Initial impressions: super bulky and heavy, too many straps, and just kinda ugly. I'm easing into these and wearing them on select adventures. In the past month I went for a short day hike on some trails, full day at the beach, rode a bicycle, and walked around town with them. I'm a tough critic (some have called me a hater) and I've never bought into the whole Chaco cult. Buuuuuuuut... they have worked well so far. I'm not converted yet, but I'll keep on skeptically testing them and see if I can do a little hating when I update this review.

Thanks for the review Zach! Super helpful to get this feedback out to the community.

Not for me either

Tried these but they strangle my feet, went with the strapless toe version. Make sure to order a size down!

Unfortunately not for me

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

True to size

I have seen Chaco’s around for a while and always dug the look of them. I liked the idea of having a piece of footwear that I wouldn’t mind walking thru rivers during a summer hike that was capable of providing enough support for all day comfort. So feeling optimistic I purchased a pair . A little background on my sandal style, I'm most comfortable in a classic pair of Rainbow sandals. After wearing the Chaco's for the day, my big toe was all cut up and I had blisters on my heel. I waited a couple more days and tried them again to see if it was possibly a break in process. Unfortunately, I had the same issues again. I gave up on the Chaco’s and am sticking to my Rainbows. If you have any questions hit me at 801-523-4075 or email me at borloski@backcountry.com
