The adjustable polyester jacquard webbing upper shapes to your foot with just a few quick pulls, and the cushy PU Luvseat footbed ensures all-day comfort and a supportive feel. Good footbed, painful straps
The foot bed is very comfortable but the strap really cuts into your big toe. You have to leave a lot of gap to keep it from rubbing and it gets tighter as you walk so it ends up running more.

Is Quality Slipping?
I’ve used Z1’s for over 15 years everyday all summer and into fall. I go through 1 pair every 1.5 years with the failure point being where the vertical webbing enters into the footbed. (every time) These new ones have thinner webbing and feel "cheap" while having more foot-play and less strength holding the foot into place. My feet have never hurt in Z1’s to date, but they sure do now. Just like the youth sandals I purchased this year, the webbing at the heel is not sewn to the correct length and I need to take it in (remove about 1/4”) to avoid my heel falling off the back of the sandel. (my daughters I had to bring in 1/2”) This is something i've never encountered before. Perhaps the spec wasn’t fit and adjusted to the thinner webbing and it’s causing this issue. OR perhaps someone new is at the helm and overlooked this critical aspect of the sandal fit. At any rate, to warranty the customer needs to pay for shipping regardless if under warranty and to fix, they’re 4 weeks out minimum in the summer. Reality is though, if these are off spec, the whole batch is off spec and with only 2 colorways in wide, going the route of a self fix means they’ll be to expectation and be done same day. Hoping the focus on quality and details turns around or these couple instances are possible flukes... I'll still buy as they have been so reliable to date...

Straps are much different than previous pair
The straps are not as thick so they are flimsy which make them much harder to put on. Not a fan of the new straps.
