Do Not Buy - Straps too loose
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- 9
Chaco have changed the design of their classic flip flops to these. The sole is heavy, hard and thick and it's coupled to a very loose strap which makes the flip flops pretty much unwearable. The strap is so loose that the sole doesn't flip up until you are at the very end of your stride, meaning you kinda drag the along as you walk, making it extremely uncomfortable on the wearer's foot. This is a shame as I have worn Chaco flip flops for 16 years without issue. When the last pair finally wore out I bought these and now I need to return them. Seems like yet another great brand that has resorted to cheap manufacturing and poor quality control for some reason. The weird thing is that the footbed itself is the correct size for me, but the straps would most likely be about (no exaggeration) 4 or 5 sizes too big. So in short - do not buy these. If you do, you will undoubtedly regret it. If that's not enough, read the many reviews on the net of this model.

Narrow flops
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Size Bought:
- 10

I normally wear a 9.5 but got these in a 10. I disagree with other assessments that it runs large. The length seemed about normal for a 10. The real problem was they are very narrow. Like my feet (which are admittedly wide) were hanging off both sides. Other than that they feel well made and were very comfy. But seriously they are like women's flops.

Not a good fit
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I have worn Chaco Eco Tread Flips for years, size 11. Of course, they stopped making them. So I tried these, the Playa Pro, size 11. Waaaaaay too big. The straps are huge. Not as comfortable either.

I am an everyday sandal wearer. I hiked in these often and put them through the ringer. Yesterday the strap snapped at the toe after one year. Wasn't doing anything crazy. Was disappointed after only one year. Loved these but not sure about the quality anymore from Chaco.
