Velocissimo 4 Bib Tight

Extend your riding season through fall and winter with the Castelli Velocissimo 4 Bib Tight. These no-nonsense tights are a warm and comfortable option to get you outside and riding your bike during the cold weather months. While they may not be quite as windproof as the Meno 2 Bib Tights, and lack the premium chamois of the Sorpasso 2 Bib Tights, they're a utilitarian option that does the job well without leaving a huge hole in your wallet.

They're constructed from Castelli's proven Thermoflex fabric with a thick, brushed fleece interior that keeps you warm without hindering your freedom of movement. The bib itself is mesh, airy and breathable, designed to subtly sit under a jersey and be barely noticeable when you're pedaling. Castelli's Kiss Air chamois loyally stands guard between you and the saddle, providing multi-layered cushioning that remains supportive and breathable over the miles, however cold they may be.

  • A simple, no-nonsense bib tight for cold weather cycling
  • Thermoflex fabric keeps you warm while preserving your mobility
  • Mesh bib straps ensure breathability and a barely-there feel
  • Kiss Air 2 seat insert cushions your sit bones during long miles
  • YKK Camlock zipper at the ankle for easy on and off
  • Reflective details on the leg endings to help you be seen
  • Recommended for temperatures in the 43 - 53-degrees Fahrenheit range
  • Item #CST00U6

Normal-sized Guy Review

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Runs small
Size Bought
5` 10"
195 lbs

I've learned to size myself fairly accurately when purchasing Castelli kit. This Bib replaces or complements my DHB Flt Roubaix Bib tights. The Castelli offering is much more comfortable, nice panel construction, keeps me warm, and I have never had complaints from the kiss air pad. The calf stripes are for style, but the ankle cuff is fully reflective...... very nice touch. The overall feel will have you rubbing your kit constantly, if you're graduating from budget brands. As I've stated in previous reviews, the "you fat Americans" sizing means an almost too long leg for me. I'll update after a reasonable amount of time, if this line is not discontinued. Otherwise, I'm becoming a Castelli fanboy.

Not a review of the product but service

Do not buy from Backcountry - unless you want frustration and delays

Versatile Cold Weather Bib Tight

I've put it through the wringer
True to size
Size Bought
5` 8"
157 lbs

Purchased these early this fall, and have used them several times (Including a sub 40F century ride) in conditions below 50F with perfect comfort. The pad is great and just the right size. Today, I rode into the wind at 32F and my legs were perfectly warm and toasty (unlike my feet). The temperature range has exceeded my expectations, and I think, much better than Castelli claims. At 5'-8", 157lbs, I bought a Medium. the fit is good. They feel less snug than the Castelli Velocissimo bib shorts I have in M. I think a M or L would have worked just fine. The fabric is comfortable, lightly insulated, wind resistant, but not stiff or bulky like a colder weather tight. It seems that Castelli fit is always a crap shoot, but these are pretty much true to size or a bit on the small end of size. This is a high quality tight, and a great value. I highly recommend.

Velocissimo 4 Bib Tight

I've used it several times

Men's M

I love these new Castelli tights. They finally did away with the decals on the butt that just come off even tho I hand dry and wash my cycling clothes. One thing about size- I am female, 5'7" and weigh 128pds. I wear a men's medium in Castelli tights. That's just how it is- women's sizes are too small, not long enough. Kudos to Castelli for the new design with reflective fabric and cuffs at the bottom of the legs! And thanks Back Country for prompt(always) delivery!

Very disappointed with the service

I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I ordered this product a month ago as a present for my brother who lives abroad. He likes castelli products, but this one came with two holes on the top part and the problem is I had already sent the product with a friend who was visiting him. Of course, I contacted backcountry, they said they just couldn't do anything and I needed to return the product and they couldn't ship to foreign countries, and they even shut down the talk screen before resolving my case. I just didn't have time and energy to re-explain everything, meanwhile, to get back the item will take so long, shipment is way more expensive than the product itself. So I decided to live it as it is. We ended up stitching the hole and use it like that. This purchasing experience was very frustrating for me, and I think I will not shop from backcountry again.
