Velocissima 2 Knicker

The knees take a fair amount of abuse even under normal riding conditions, and giving them a little protection from the elements goes a long way towards performance day-of and in the future. The Castelli Velocissima 2 offers knicker-length knee coverage for nearly year-round racing and training. Rated for rides ranging 59-95 degrees F, the Velocissima 2's Endurance Evolution fabric shields knees from cooler conditions as well as harsher summertime rays.

Castelli uses a "high-modulus stretch" in the Velocissima 2, which gently supports the legs throughout the ride, while offering a comfort fit for in and out of the saddle riding positions. An updated KISS AIR2 chamois provides a women's specific for long-distance riding and a soft top-cover to reduce irritation. Raw-edge leg grippers reduce squeezing and pinching around the calves, and reflective logos boost low-light visibility

I love these!

They fit nicely, are super airy, give me all the coverage I need from the sun while keeping me fairly cool.

These knickers are made well with a nice gripper at the bottom. I was super hopeful they wold work and replace another old pair I have. However, the waistband sits low enough to roll and it bothered me enough that I knew it would be a problem on long rides.
