Winner for Me
XL sizing was spot on for me at 5'11 and 175 lbs. While I appreciate the look and fabric feel of Assos bibs, Castelli chamois just work better for me and the cheaper price is a nice bonus. I bought the Forest Gray color as it was the only in-stock option, and now I really like the look. Most importantly, my first ride in these was a 103 mile fondo and they were so comfortable. I will say it was not a hot day so I cannot speak to the breathability of the bibs. But they are an absolute winner for me so far. Of course, the additional storage is really handy for long rides.

Great fitting bibs. Are true to size and very good quality material. Enjoy the fact that they have no elastic band at bottom that could eventual stretch out. The padding is just right for a longer ride of several hours and the pockets are extremely useful as I often wear zipper less jerseys with no pockets. This is my second pair. Not that I wore out the first pair. I liked the first so much I got this second pair in a different color.

I swear by Castelli bibs after trying so many other brands. These are great as well but not quite the quality I have come to expect. The fabric and cut is great, they fit well, and the pockets are awesome, however there are two issues that really get me. The chamois in these is not the greatest, the Free Aero and other bibs have a much nicer one, and the leg grippers are really slick/not grippy at all.
