Toe Thingy 2
Castelli's Toe Thingy is made from durable neoprene fabric. This material not only provides insulating warmth, but it also blocks water and wind on the most sensitive part of the foot—the toes. The Toe Thingy is secured to the shoe by an aperture that encompasses the cleat, and to resist rips, tears, and general wear, Castelli included a silicone print on the Toe Thingy's underside. For versatility, Castelli recommends using the cover alone on mild days, and as a layer between your shoe and full shoe cover during nasty weather.
- Handy toe covers that insulate from icy winds
- Neoprene traps heat inside and cuts through water and wind
- Opening on bottom secures around your cleat
- Rubberized outsole boosts durability and grip
- Low profile for warmth on the cool days, or layering when its frigid
- Item #CST00KP

Regret spending the money for these thingys. Rode for three hours today in mild conditions (high 40's an light rain). Toes were cold and wet by the end. Really no idea what these are for. Will look for winter shoes instead. At least they appear to be built nice.

Fit over my MTB shoes
I love the yellow for road rides, and they fit over my MTB shoes just fine. Granted my shoes aren't huge, but the stretch accommodates the tread just fine.

Love Castelli but didnât find these kept my toes warm on high 40s and breezy days.

Essential kit for roadies
Awesome for keeping your toes warm while riding from 60° down to about 50/45° F (depending upon your cold sensitivity). Pros: Warm, insulating material (neoprene) is highly effective. And they are super stretchy, so they are very easy to get on and off. Much easier than booties! And you can easily stuff them in your rear jersey pocket on an early morning ride if the temp warms up. Cons: Even though ver 2 has been reinforced on the bottom, the bottoms will wear out or cut if you walk on rocks or gravel; so I don't do that. Not for MTB use.
