Very solid gloves.

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
Fit:True to size

Have put a couple hundred miles on the gloves. The material is super stretchy and despite wondering how these would fit on / come off they manage to slip on and off easily but stay nice and snug while wearing them. comfortable tacky grip. No chemical smell as some others noted. Material is very light on the back of the hand, good for warm weather. No issues with craftsmanship or gloves breaking down (yet). I really have enjoyed these.

This things stink

Fit:Runs small

As another reviewer wrote, I opened the up and the room filled with a bad chemical smell. Left them air out for a few days, but the still stink big time.

Poorly made

Familiarity:I've used it several times

These gloves fit very nicely and are fantastically comfortable so I can't bring myself to give them one start, but I got them to start falling apart after just a few rides. Quite disappointing since everything else Castelli I own is very well made. Plus there is no good wiping surface for your various facial secretions.

I like these gloves

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I’ve been riding them all year and they are holding up just fine. I like the padding - it works and it’s not bulky. I like the ventilation. I’ve worn them for 10 hours at a time in the saddle on gravel rides and they’re fine. Maybe I got an exceptional pair or something but they are outlasting most other gloves I’ve owned. I usually make it until mid summer before they fall apart. These have beat that substantially. So, they’re on sale and I’m buying another pair!

the stitching started to fail the first time I put the glove on. Darn near impossible to get the glove off with sweaty hands. I dont like this glove at all

I was hoping for a different outcome...

But nope. The other reviewers were spot on. The palm "leather" shredded after only three rides, so they went back. And two other problems they have: 1) no absorbent material for wiping sweat, etc., and the wrist openings are ridiculously small - so squeezing your hands in without tearing the seams is almost impossible In short - don't bother.

these are very nice gloves but even the XXL run small on my average size hands

Lots of padding

Fit:True to size

This glove has more padding than i prefer. It has a tacky palm which is nice and I like the fit. This glove probably wont fit if you have a boxers fist.

Terrible quality

Terrible quality. At first the fit is comfortable and looks great, but mine broke the second time I used them. My son and I bought a pair each and this happened to both.

Terrible

I have also had stitching come unraveled -- I don't get it, but I do know they need to get their act together and fast.

Fit is small and quality is cheap

Fit:Runs small
Weight180 lbs

These gloves ran very small--my wife is tiny and the gloves didn't even fit her. They are good looking gloves but the quality was surprisingly bad for Castelli. Careful in ordering process -- if you need to return, Competitive Cycle will charge you. I hate Amazon, try to buy from companies like CC but...

Runs small

Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
Fit:Runs small

The construction looks good and all. But either the gloves I received were mis-sized or they just run very small. I have small hands and I still could not get through size M gloves. The opening is just too small and the material just doesn't stretch enough to allow your palm through.

Upon removing these gloves from the packaging, was assaulted with a strong, nasty, industrial-chemical smell. Anyone else have the same problem?

Nothing I've heard from customers before. Sorry about that unpleasant smell. Has it gone away?

Sorry, Ian, but no. The smell is still there and strong as ever. I thought about washing the gloves to see if that fixed the problem. But I'm just going to return them unused, and in the original packaging. Really annoyed that I have to pay to return a product that has a problem that no one else has experienced. Any chance I can get that fee waived if I exchange them for something else?
