Raddoppia 2 Jacket

Warm, comfortable, and reflective, the Raddoppia is Castelli's workhorse cycling jacket for the cold temperatures and diminished daylight of winter. Windstopper fabric on the front and back keeps the wind out and the heat in, while the thermal side panels let excess moisture escape so you don't get clammy when tough climbs lead to frigid descents.

  • Stay warm and protected with this thermal cycling jacket
  • Gore-Tex Infinium Windstopper blocks the wind and the cold
  • Thermoflex side panels for extra stretch and ventilation
  • Be seen on the road thanks to 360-degree reflectivity
  • Easy-sliding zipper lets you adjust ventilation while riding
  • Three rear pockets have plenty of room for snacks and supplies
  • Taller contoured neckline seals out chilly drafts
  • Brushed fleece interior for cozy next-to-skin comfort
  • Item #CST00TD

Warm, snug fit, but sizing an issue

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Ignore the size chart given for this product. It is a warm jacket with a nice lining, and weatherproof outer. However, I had to order XXL for it to fit. In contractor gear, I am sometimes an M. In kayaking/rowing racing gear an L or XL. Apparently in cycle racing gear from Italy, an XXL. For my 41 inch chest the XL was both too tight, and too short. It is a body hugging fit, so will work only in those situations where you need this. I use my cycling gear also for cross-country skiing, where a body fit is efficient (say, for a time trial). I do like the warmth, weather proofing, and range of colors. It is not for everyone though, make sure you can return, if necessary.
