The Castelli Men's Pro Mesh Limited Edition Sleeveless Base Layer is an essential layering piece for practically any condition or season you may find yourself riding through, decked out in limited graphics that pop underneath your unzipped cycling jersey. 3D mesh fabric regulates your core temperature with its open cell construction that wicks moisture and enhances ventilation underneath your favorite jersey. This makes it a great choice for longer rides on the warmest days of the year. On the flip side, you can also wear it in cooler conditions underneath a thermal jersey to prevent the cold, clammy feel while sweating.

- Q & A
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: XXL
- Height: 6'3"
I ordered up due to Italian sizing, but this base layer barely extends to my navel like some sort of 80's throwback. Bibs just cover it. I purchased on sale to have as an extra base layer for my trainer ride rotation. Would have returned if paid full retail or needed for regular rides. Quality seems fine, it looks very similar to my craft cool mesh base layers.
Nice piece but always a sizing issue.
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: XL
- Height: 6'1"
- Weight: 180lbs
Been a big fan of Castelli stuff through the years but have always had difficulty with sizing. Usually size up at least one size, sometimes two. Bought this base layer in an XL knowing I would want a snug, next-to-skin fit. That's what I got; however, the arm holes are cut high and small and thus resulted in some binding for my 41" chest. The fabric has a slight degree of stretch but not enough to overcome the discomfort. This is a high-quality piece, but like usual, if you've got a slighter, Euro-like build, it should suit you well. Us bigger guys run into the usual sizing issues with the true Euro brands. I am fearful that if I go up to an XXL, it might then be too long.
