I absolutely love this jacket. The ability to remove the sleeves, the zippers on the side for airflow, the reflective tape for extra visibility makes this jacket a winner. The fit was perfect for me, but I must admit I am on the slimmer side so recommend going up a size if you have bit more muscle and/or mass.

First, I ordered Medium (I'm usually Small so I sized up after reading other reviews). The Small was so tiny I couldn't even put it on (I am Small for Arcteryx, Icebreaker, Gore Bike Wear and many other brands). Then I returned the Small and ordered a Large and that didn't fit under the arms at all. So now I've paid the $6.99 return shipping fee twice! Ugh! The quality and look and feel of the jacket looks awesome. Unfortunately sizing is very difficult. Staying away from this in future.

Great jacket!

I ordered this jacket after reading the reviews. I'm normally a size L in Castelli (5'11'', 180 lbs, 39 to 40 suit jacket) but the reviewers were accurate in saying this jacket fits slimmer. So I ordered an XL. The shoulders, and upper pec areas, were a touch loose for my tastes because I normally like a snug fit, but I think a L would have been too slim in the body. Like one of the other reviewers noted, this is a quality jacket, and the red/red-orange looks much better in person. I live in Northern CA and rode with it in mild to warm weather, including getting caught in the rain once, with no issues for about 7 days. Unfortunately, I crashed my bike and ripped the jacket badly. Will hope that I can find another XL, especially on sale, or see if Castelli can do a repair. I'd highly recommend it. Thanks CC!

Best jacket for shoulder seasons!

Fit:
True to size

This jacket is fantastic for spring and fall. Great material, wind blocking and breathable. I wear it here in New England where the weather is changeable. For 35-45 a long sleeve baselayer, over 45 a short sleeve. The zip off sleeves are even colorcoded! Leave it to Cascella! I’m 5’7”, 150# and the medium is perfect. Wish I could give it 6 stars.👍🏻

The new Perfetto is even better!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Received my new Perfetto RoS Convertible Jacket (Limited Edition, in red) in early April 2020. First impressions upon unboxing were: 1) it is better-looking than the photos here show (I had been a little skeptical of the red with the black sleeves); 2) the materials and craftsmanship are obviously high quality; 3) it's more comfortable than my Gabba 3 (which I also like a lot); 4) the fit is perfect - snug but with room for 1-2 baselayers. It feels considerably warmer than the Gabba 3, with a light fleecy material on the inside, but still not too thick. It felt it would breathe well. I've taken it on 3 rides in temps from the mid-40s to mid-50s (F), with some wind, and I used either a l-s or s-s baselayer. It has very effectively blocked the wind. Breathability has been very good - not once have I felt it was stuffy or clammy, which is an improvement on the Gabba 3, which could occasionally feel clammy. I simply didn't even think about it. The combination of materials on front and back seems excellent for keeping out the weather while maintaining breathability. This already feels like one of the best pieces of cycling kit I've ever gotten - I think it will be very versatile, especially with the removable sleeves. Really glad I chose the Convertible, and ignored one review that suggested just getting the Gabba s-s; this simply offers more versatility for a great price - the Limited Edition was 50% off. Good looking and smart design, too. Also, the taped seams at the shoulders are reflective, which was not clear from the product description. I have not yet had the chance to test it in the rain, but the material feels like it will do a fine job of keeping out most lighter rain, just like my Gabba does. I'm 6'0'', 183 lbs., and ordered an XL. I normally wear a large in most clothing, but need to order a size up with Castelli. (I never knew Italians were smaller before I met Castelli.)

However, runs VERY small; bought a large (6’ and 154lbs) and not even close. Never have worn an XL, but guess I’ll have to upgrade!

Hi. Ive been wearing nothing but Castelli for the past 8 years. I always wear a medium and I’m 6ft 160, sometimes up to 168 depending on my training. Are you saying that the race fit is to small or is it uncomfortable unless you’re on th bike. I think i own one large size jacket and it was to leave room for layers. Let me know if this is an over all shift in the design/construction of Castelli. Thanks

Runs extremely small which is par for the course for Castelli. I'm 6'1" 215 and the 3XL is a perfect fit in the roadie position. First ride with the jacket was 40 degrees misty to full downpour. It shed water like a hardshell but I got home after 50 miles and 3K feet of climbing dry as a bone. LOVE LOVE LOVE this jacket.

Runs small & odd sleeves

This is a very nice jacket but it runs quite small. Also, zip-on area of the removable sleeves works fine but, cosmetically, is bulky. Not a functional issue, but looks a bit odd.
