    Perfetto Light 2 Short-Sleeve Jersey

The Gabba jersey is an amazing bit of kit and is perfect for the spring classics—so much so that the pros became spoiled after using it and they asked Castelli if they could create a jersey similar to the Gabba that would ideally be suited for slightly warmer conditions. If the conditions call for something a little lighter than the Gabba but still warrant protection from wind and rain, the pros can now reach for the Perfetto Light 2 jersey. Meaning perfect in Italian, this jersey is a lighter weight and more breathable option than the Gabba, extending the comfort range in varying conditions while still offering the option to layer as temperatures drop.

The Perfetto is the—ahem—perfect training jersey when you need some extra motivation to go out and ride when the temps aren't too terrible but the chance of precipitation is likely. A big part of this versatility is, of course, that the Perfetto's water-resistant materials cause road spray and precipitation alike to bead up and slide off rather than soak through. Getting wet on a chilly day is often the real cause of feeling underdressed, so this one feature alone justifies adding the Perfetto to your cycling clothes quiver.

The jersey is crafted with windproof and water-resistant Windstopper 150 material on the front, shoulders, and sleeves, with a water-resistant Nano Light back. The Perfetto's Windstopper panels are 25% lighter than the Gabba's Windstopper X-Lite Plus, so it does better at higher temperatures and in less extreme conditions. The Nano Light panels on the back still shed water but omit a membrane altogether, facilitating moisture and internal temperature management to keep you from overheating and being stuck in a clammy chill after an intense effort. This jersey effectively covers those spring and fall days when all-over windproof protection is a tad overkill and we don't want to constantly put on or take off gear during the duration of the ride.

Castelli recommends the Perfetto for warm or damp weather between 50-68 degrees Fahrenheit, but, in our experience, the jersey can go into the 40s with a good base layer and arm warmers. If it's any colder, it's best to go with the Gabba in those conditions.

    • A race jersey prepared for spring and fall conditions
    • Gore Windstopper 150 front blocks wind without bulk
    • Form-fitting cut provides great fit on the bike
    • Thermal back repels water and breathes exceptionally
    • Extended tail fends off chamois-soaking road spray
    • Rear reflective logo helps visibility in low light
    • 3 rear pockets keep food, money, and gear close at hand
    • Item #CST00IB

Can't even zip this thing up ...

The jersey itself is very well constructed and materials just feel amazing. It appears that "rossocorsa" line is for those super skinny guys that race, so definitely not me. I went up 1 size given the comments and also as I usually do with this Brand ... and ended up looking like a soppressata when I managed to zip this thing up! I admit I have put on a few pounds with the confinement ... but man this is rude and harsh. And the Castelli sizing chart?!?! It looks like they put random numbers there... totally unrealistic! Returning with half of my dignity lost in the process.

I have a Perfetto long sleeve jersey in XL that fits well - perhaps ever so slightly large. I ordered an XL in the short sleeve but it was just too small. I am a 40-41 chest so it should have fit. It was also short and pockets sit high making getting in to pockets difficult. I exchanged for a Gabba 3 jersey in XL which fit perfectly.

I really love the zip off Perfetto's but I figured having a short sleeve that I could put arm warmers under would work just as well when these are on sale for a great price. They breathe really well so you can wear them in warmer temps into the 60's comfortably.

Love at first sight, the quality is incredible, I know the Castelli products and they are made for the small and extremely skinny road riders, for this reason I order the size XL, I stay somewhat tight but it looks incredible. The color is perfect as the photo shows. It is a model for slightly cold climates.

    Perfetto for Cool Morning Rides

I no longer always need the vest. This jersey is fantastic for a morning depart when you know it will warm up some. With a good set of arm warmers, this garment has a pretty wide temperature range. The high collar and full zip, plus longer short sleeves are wonderful for high 40’sthrough mid 60’s. A great addition to my gear. I have bigger arms, neck and a somewhat fit torso, but I’m not racing weight. The XL is tight standing up but very comfortable low on the road bike. These Rossi Corsa garments are cut very small for pro riders, so size up a couple sizes.

Loved the look and feel of the product. Ordered for my husband for Christmas--usually wears an XL (size 34 waist) so ordered the XXL. Couldn't get it on. Looks at least 3 sizes small. Wish it came true to size!

My first jersey I purchased was too small- upgraded to XXL. Length is great and the shoulders don't bunch up. The Windstop fabric lives up to it's name and the high collar seals int he warmth. When pushing intervals, opening the top about 4 inches is enough to get some airflow and keep the engine running at full speed.

I have worn this with a sleeveless base layer down to 40 degrees and it works very well keeping me warm and keeping the wind out. As the description says, with proper layering this can do very well below the intended range. Castelli jerseys run somewhat smaller compared to other brands like Pearl Izumi and domestic manufacturers like Voler, so think about sizing up (XXL vs XL)

I really like the shortsleeve cut. Keeps the wind/cold off your chest but with arm warmers you get to breath a bit more than with a full length Gabba jacket. Easy to grab zipper so you can dump heat by quickly unzipping.
