Meccanico 2 Puffy Jacket
Whether you're waiting for your race to start in the brisk morning hours, or taking to some après-ride amusements on a frigid winter evening, the Meccanico 2 Puffy Jacket keeps you toasty with subdued style and discreet branding that are right at home in the staging area or out to dinner. Castelli redesigned this piece for colder temperatures, using a durable synthetic fabric and 100g of Primaloft Silver Insulation to keep you warm without adding weight. For days with rain in the forecast, a DWR treatment on the outer fabric encourages water to bead up and roll off the jacket. Draw strings on the hood and waist preserve body heat and block chilly drafts, while the high collar shields your neck from the cold. Castelli finishes the jacket with two zippered pockets for keeping your hands warm, and for stowing essentials too of course.

I've been wearing this jacket pretty consistently for the past two months this winter and it is one of my favorites for casual wear as well as light activity such as hiking. It's important to point out that this jacket is intended for off-bike use, although I wouldn't hesitate to wear this on a short, casual ride.
I find that the jacket keeps me comfortable in temperatures ranging from the high 30's to the high 50's F wearing a a t-shirt underneath. My favorite feature is this jacket's breathability relative to its warmth, which I find to be better than other puffy jackets I own from more outdoorsy brands.
The fit is consistent with the sizing chart and will best fit someone with a reasonably athletic or typical cyclist build. I'm 6'3" and 205 lbs with a 44.5" chest and 34.5" waist. The 2XL fits me well, providing a flattering taper from the upper body down to the waist. It's a bit snug on my upper back if I fold my arms, etc, but then the size chart does say 43" for the 2XL so that's to be expected.
All things considered, I highly recommend this versatile jacket for anyone looking to bring some cycling flair to their casual wardrobe.
