More than just a fashion statement from the ‘80s, the Castelli Headband serves a very real purpose—it keeps stinging sweat from dripping into your eyes. The Headband is made with Castelli’s Prosecco Strada fabric, which is used in many of Castelli’s jerseys because of its elasticity and moisture-wicking properties. The fabric’s Prosecco treatment disperses moisture across the surface of the fabric, where it evaporates quickly. Castelli then added a polypropylene liner for additional comfort and even more efficient wicking. Together, the fabrics keep your head cool and dry, but won’t interfere with your helmet’s fit.

I started wanting a headband after I got a new MIPS helmet that is not as well ventilated as my long loved Bell helmets...this one has worked great...no more stinging eyes on climbs, even on hot days over 95 degrees....Downsides are that it does make you slightly hotter and I haven't found a way to keep the back from flapping around on fast descents. Maybe there is some more technical fabric that would work better but I haven't seen it.

I actually really like the styling (wife calls it the Karate Kid headband) but after about 30 minutes it stops doing what it's supposed to. My alternative is a Craft mesh headband which works 10x better.

- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I just used this headband for an indoor trainer workout session and it has instantly become a product I can't live without. It really keeps the sweat in-check throughout the entire workout (especially a fan-less one). My eyes stay sting-free and I look like a badass karate kid. The material is super thin and comfortable. I will be purchasing more of these.
