    The bees knees.

Knee warmers, while useful, can be one annoying little accessory what with constantly battling to keep them in place and avoid the dreaded stripe of cold when the edge of your shorts moves above the warmer hem. Drop those wardrobe malfunction worries and keep your knees and thighs toasty with the Castelli Evoluzione Knickers. Made of moisture-wicking ProDry2Strati fabric, these knickers will keep you cozy and dry through all those chilly Fall and early Spring rides.

The Evoluzione Knickers come with Castelli's Kiss Air Donna chamois, featuring soft, brushed microfiber that sits softly against your skin to eliminate uncomfortable chafing and abrasion. Its flexible shape moves with you as you ride to provide consistent, comfy support over the miles.

    wished the seams werent crossed

    • Fit: True to size

i received the knickers and once i tried them on- i loved the support it gives ( firm)-- the chamois had a good support for long rides: however, they made the mistake of sewing a seam onto the front of the leg area above knee- the ends of the seams are quite bulky and they make you scratch your leg constantly---once you get on bike, the motion of your leg going up and down pulls the fabric where the seam is and it drives you crazy- like an itch on the wrong parts..for this reason i returned it and advised the competitive cyclist rep of what i would call a defect--unfortunately - everything else was good

    See-through material?

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I'm a long time cyclist and this is the first time I've had to return a product because it was see-through. The fit was great and I liked the design and material quality. However, as soon as I tried them on for fit, my sister told me that she could see through the material. I'm sad to see these go back.

    great quality for the price

    • Fit: Runs small

Really glad I read the reviews and looked at the size guide for this item. I am 5'10, 137 lbs. and I normally wear a small but I sized up to a medium for these and they fit great. Since I am taller, these hit below my knee at the top of my calves, they are not as long as in the pic. The fabric is on the stiffer side but I like the compression and support. Have not gone for a ride in these yet but first impression is good.

    Good fit

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I needed 3/4 for cool days when I want to skip the initial unpleasantness of heading out in shorts, but when it's way too warm for leg warmers on the way back. These have a good compressive fit on the thighs and the same thin but comfortable chamois as the Evoluzione shorts. There is no awkward riding up below the knee which I've experienced in others. I'm 5'3" and like the length, but if you're taller they'll still hit below the knee. I wear XS in Castelli bibs, but need the S in shorts due to being high waisted; the waistband hits too far below my natural waist in the front. Looking forward to Castelli catching up to other brands with the new higher waisted styles.

    Stiff fabric and bulky chamois

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

The fabric is very stiff and noisy just walking in them and the chamois is too bulky and wide for my liking, especially in the back.

    Compression and Comfort

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'6"

These fit quite snug, but once on they are very comfortable for longer rides. These are perfect for cooler days or mornings. As I have a longer torso, a wider waistband would improve the fit, as I do find myself pulling these up when I am off the bike.

These knickers are super comfortable and the pad isn't too big or bulky. I wish I had purchased a pair sooner! Highly recommend these!

These are my favorite biking pants! They fit like a glove and don't wiggle anywhere while riding. I was a little worried about buying capris as I thought they would bunch, but I didn't have to adjust them once! Love the padding and the higher waist to tuck in everything that needs tucking in.

At first I didn't think I'd like these knickers. I've had two other pair (blew them out from wearing them so much) that I loved. The fabric on these was a bit stiffer and the fit was tighter, despite the weight I'd recently lost. Also, the padding was slightly different and I was concerned about chaffing (I'm very narrow and the padding seemed cut wider than on my previous knickers). But, I decided to give them a try after reading about bike pant fit and thinking that perhaps some of my rump pain was related to pants that didn't fit exactly right. Well, these were amazing! I had a super comfortable ride and despite all the quirks described above, I fell in love with these. It seems the things I thought would bother me, actually worked to my advantage. The stiffer fabric (providing more compression) was great on the cold ride and the padding was just right. I do believe these run small.
