Rack up miles without soggy feet.
It hasn't stopped raining for a week straight and you're starting to itch for a spirited training ride on the winding avenues climbing above the city. Slip into the Castelli Evo Shoe Covers before riding through oncoming showers without your shoes soaking up moisture like a sponge. Softshell fabric repels outside moisture and road spray from seeping through, only to leave your feet a sopping-wet mess.
Looking inside this shoe cover, it's lined with a cozy fleece material that traps precious warmth from escaping, but without inhibiting motion with excess bulk. It's finished with a neoprene ankle flex zone that promotes full range of motion, a silicone gripper along the cuff that keeps it from migrating down, and a rear-zip opening for slipping it over your favorite cycling shoes.

Served the purpose when I got stuck
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size

Was riding last weekend when it was supposed to be high 40's but wind chill made it feel like low 30's. I was 50 miles from home and the temperature was dropping. Stopped by a bike shop and bought these. Surprise! Relatively easy to get on. Kept my feet warm all the way home. Very nice product. I wear a Sidi 46 and US 12. I bought an XL and the fit was very good.

I'll start by saying that i don't need these to do much. Just keep my feet warm on cold(ish) rides. So far, they've done that.
They look good and function well, but in typical castelli fashion, i sized up and it's still an effort to get them on my size 43 lakes. (though i'll say they are easier to get on once you decide you're keeping them and separate them from the packaging card).
One issue i hadn't anticipated is that my lake shoes have velcro straps with the hooks facing up. I didn't think about it until i put them on, but the fleece lining on the inside caught on the strap hooks and taking them off caused some pilling. I might have to switch to my other lake shoes with a boa for the next time i wear them.
Also, the description says they will repel water, which they might. They were fine on the damp roads overall. But, one thing that happened was they got a big water spot when my tire was pushed against the toe of my shoe while i was at a stop. Not a big deal, but something to consider if you get a color other than black
