Why We Like The Entrata Limited Edition Bib Short

Many brands claim to bring premium features to their entry-level apparel, while Castelli delivers on that design with the Entrata Bib Short. The Entrata Bib features the same insert and upper construction as Castelli's pro-level bibs, at an approachable price point for the burgeoning cyclist. Lycra fabric provides gentle compression in an anatomic fit, while the KISS Air2 chamois keeps you comfortable with breathable padding and seamless construction. The Giro3 leg grippers make sure the shorts stay perfectly in place throughout your ride, without pinching or causing discomfort.

  • Anatomic fit and Lycra fabric provide gentle compression
  • KISS Air2 insert for all-day riding comfort

Excellent Bibs

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit:
Runs small
Size Bought

Some riders had some issues with the shorts, but not me. Perhaps body type is relevant. I'm pretty thin and these shorts fit me perfectly. Chamois is extremely comfortable and held up great for 2 hot humid rides over 90 miles. The straps are snug, but I didn't find them uncomfortable or even noticeable after a a short while.

Not good

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Fit:
Runs small
Size Bought
Large

As others said the straps are too short for the body and very narrow. The big problem is the pad, which is fairly comfortable but is perforated and absorbs tons of water. After washing they are still sopping wet 2 days later. These are very poor quality sadly

Bib Straps Too Short

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit:
Runs small

Large
Height
5` 10"
Weight

As usual, I sized up to a large on these bibs, I’m a medium for any other brand. Fit is typical Castelli, very form fitting, the pad and overall fit is good, but the bib straps are way too short, and I’m only 5’ 10”. Straps are very uncomfortable. This may not be an issue for shorter riders, but definitely an issue for taller riders. I ordered the next model up, the Competitizone, which has a similar fit, but more generous bib straps that don’t dig into my shoulders. I’m returning these and keeping the Competitizone bibs.

Good bibs but shoulder straps are short

The shorts and chamois are excellent so far. Went on a 50 miler in 90 degree heat and I was comfortable all the way to the end. I will echo what some people are saying that the shoulder straps are short. It was digging into my shoulder but I eventually got used to it. Overall, good value so far and hope it will hold up for a while.

Like most of the other reviews, these bibs run small. I normally wear a Large, but ordered an Extra Large and they fit well. The leg are long which I like and the grippers work well.

Chamois and leg openings are well suited for the bike However the shoulder straps are very short, shortest I’ve ever experienced with Castelli or any other bib shorts

These

Hi, how would you rate these for riding in hot weather? I'm looking for something super lightweight. Thx!

Hey Matthew I know I'm commenting almost a year later but I liked these bib shorts for hot weather. I just got back from a trip in Colorado where I wore these. 80+ degrees and sunny and I did well managing heat while wearing these.

So I ordered this on the suggestion of a fellow cyclist after complaining about the fact that cycling shorts make me feel like a sausage. Now i'm 6'3", 225lbs, 32" inseam, so I ordered the XL. I'll tell you it's a bit of a squeeze to get these bad puppies on but once I do I never want to take them off! I wear a Pearl Izumi sleeveless base layer with them to prevent the straps from rubbing my sensitive bits. Definitely would buy again!

Lady Who Loves These Bibs

Prior to purchasing these bibs in a size Large (I'm a leggy 5'8" lady), I had exclusively purchased women's cycling bibs. I wanted something longer on the thigh since my femurs are longer than the average female's. Having heard male specific bibs fit weird and being skeptical on how these would fit - I couldn't disagree with that sentiment more. The chamois on these fit great, even for wide hips, and the shoulder straps were about the same as female-specific cycling bib straps. 10/10 would purchase these bibs again. *Note, these bibs run small.

I read that these shorts run small, and that you should go up one size...is this true?
