Not like the original
Love the originals but these high waisted ones give me a wedgie

Need to size up on this one - don't buy "final sale"
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ordered size I normally wear for Carve Designs and it was too small. Because this is a final sale item, I can't even exchange it for a larger size. I thought this would be more tan and it's yellowish.

Material too sheer in this color
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have these shorts in 3 other colors and love them! Unfortunately the Cloud color is too sheer, and you can see the outline of the pockets clearly through the material. It's not a flattering look.

Skinny jeans for shorts
Not for anyone who has curves or booty, and very tight-fitting. I normally wear a 6, maybe an 8 in most brands. In these I needed a 10 and they were still super tight with extra gap at the waist. They fit like skinny jeans, but I prefer my shorts to be a little roomy and comfortable. Not for me.

Nice Looking Shorts
Nice looking, good quality shorts. They are definitely high wasted and fitted with little give. I measured myself and got the size that fits my measurements (size 8). I'm 5'3, 140 lbs, 34, 28, 36 muscular. They fit like a glove and look good too. I just need to get used to the shorter length as I usually don't sport so much leg. However, they look good. They also don't gap at the waist, which is nice. The color is rich too.

Perfect fit and so comfy!
Perfect fit and so comfy! I'm 5'4", 138, muscular - ordered a size 10. They fit slightly loose at the waist, which I prefer.

Perfect fit
The Hi Rise short is definitely a size smaller than the original Oahu short. The original Oahu was way too big in the waist and hip for me in the smallest size. After reading reviews I decided to try the Hi Rise version in size 0. I was worried the waist would be too high but was pleasantly surprised to find that it sits about 2" below my belly button and the fit is perfect.

Oahu Hi Rise 4" short
Tried these shorts in the regular rise in a store in a size 6 and I got them on and zipped them, however, they felt tight. I preferred the high rise waist, so I ordered a size 8 in the high rise waist, and they were tight across the hips! Very different cut from the regular rise I tried in the store! (I am usually a size 4-8 in all brands of denim/cords). Love the color and length; just cannot understand ordering 2 sizes up from what I tried in the store...seems the sizing is off??

Gaps in the back
I loved the feel of the fabric and loved both colors I ordered (Dark Fawn and Cloud), but the gapping in the back was a big issue for me because I have a butt. I think the high-rise was a little better than the regular Oahu short in regards to the gapping, but not by too much. These are only tailored to stick straight figures. I'm bummed because I really liked these, but they have to be returned.
