go back to basics

for some reason this company stopped making work clothes for working people. the durable canvas type. also shorts means shorts. shorts are not covering your knees. we wear them in hot weather for a reason. i have worn this brand to work for thirty or more years. sadly all you can get now is this fashion nonsense from them. they need to remember who made them famous. save the basketball clothes for nike?

Great length for tall men

My husband is 6 foot six and these shorts are perfect because they do not look "too short" on his long legs. He prefers longer shorts and these fit the bill. They are high-quality, have plenty of pockets, loops, etc. for construction workers. They wash well.

Great

Great shorts love this style! Would this be a style to make in green and camo colors?

Very comfortable and a nice fit without looking too baggy

I like the overall fit and slim look of these shorts. The one thing I wish they had was a reinforced patch on the front pocket edges where you clip your tape measure and pocket knife. Other Carhartt shorts have this and it is a high wear area. Maybe another suggestion... A gusseted crotch. Much more comfortable than a 4-way seam.

Perfect Work Shorts

Awesome shorts. These shorts are very comfortable to wear all day. They breathe and have the durability that Carhartt offers. They could use a couple extra pockets on the shorts. That's the only down fall

Whats up with Carhartt???

I own several pair of carhartt canvas shorts and love them. I recently picked up a pair of 34" (my usual size) bs3542-m and they could not come close to being buttoned = more like a 30 or 32. The photos on line do not represent the items as well, as there are no hammer loops in the photos. I have looked everywhere for this item model bs3542m and can not find them anywhere, however I did run across a new sizing scheme that classifies them as S (small) M= medium, L=large and XL for x large that these (34") fall into the medium size bs3542"M", which is confusing and should be clarified between sites. The big box stores no longer offer changing rooms to try them on so I have to go back and return them which is irritating. Something has changed in their mfg process or sizing scheme which needs to be address as it will have an adverse affect on sales.

Durable Functional Garment With Lots of Features.

This is my second purchase of this pattern of shorts. I also buy the long leg version of this pant. The fabric is durable and the closures are well made. My primary reason for buying them online is I can't find them in stores near me. The pockets are what is the next most important to me. I carry gobs of stuff and more pockets is better. Cellphone, flashlight, IFAK, wallet, keys, pocketknife, pepper spray, stylus pen. I don't use the hammer loop.

Not too tight

I like the way the side pockets hold my glasses on one side and my phone on the other
