This fits like a box and is huge!
I just received this jacket and its so wide!! Im a big guy and I sized down bc of Carhartt running big so instead of getting a XXL like normally get in other brands I got a XL and when I put the sweatshirt on and zipped it up I had a extra 4 inches on the side of it and it looked like a box on......needless to say this will be returned.

Bought it for snowboarding
Really love this hoodie. Consider it a hoodie with a built in liner. The thickness of the hoodie and semi water resistance make this a great hoodie for snowboarding on mild to chilly blue bird days. Has a zippered pocket on inside of chest to hold a couple items. The look of it makes it a great all around jacket to wear whenever and wherever. Just pick your color and you wont be disappointed. True to size I believe.

I bought this for my son who just about refuses to wear anything but hoodies no matter how cold it is outside. He really likes it and the fit was great.

I have had it for a couple of days and worn it both days. It's heavy! I haven't been able to put it through any tests on its durability. The office is a tough environment but in ways that don't stress hoodies. It is also not as soft on the inside. It is not fleece. Somehow from the pictures, I was expecting fleece or something similar. The interior is made of something coarse.

I feel I have to start with sizing. Its a little bananas, but it also worked out. I am 6'5 and 215 pounds and the Medium fits perfectly. That seems odd to me, but that being said the medium actually does fit perfectly. Its the right width in the shoulders (rare phenomenon for tall guys) sleeve length is just right, and the actual sweatshirt length is really solid. That being said its longer than Carhartt's typical "cowboy" fit, which for me and probably a lot of other people is a good thing. The sweatshirt is pretty thick, but not cumbersome. For reference I had a double thick arborwear sweatshirt previously which was just too much. Way too much cotton for one piece of clothing. This strikes a good balance between comfortable and thicky / durable. When it comes to the rain defender, so far I have not actually worn it outside in the rain intentionally (its a cotton sweatshirt not a rain shell) but I have spilled milk on myself, and I was pleasantly surprised that all the milk beaded and ran off, and didn't leave any stain at all on all black sweatshirt. Which to me was a pretty big win. All in all a solid casual wear, or do stuff around the house / ranch / farm type sweatshirt that should last a long time.

This is a very durable Carhartt jacket and the material is thick and warm. It is heavier and warmer than you would think. The thermal lining and Rain Defender finish makes this perfect to wear while working outside.

This is a solid all around hoodie. Carhartt makes some very sturdy sweaters for the working man and this is definitely no exception. Definitely can wear it in some of the toughest conditions!
