Runs large

At 6'2' 190lbs I Normally I wear a size large jacket. I had to exchange for a medium. The medium does fit much better, slightly short, but will work for my needs. I really appreciate the ease of exchanging with Carhartt.

Defender rain jacket.

Depending on the manufacturer and style a jacket or coat in XL or L will fit me. The item was advertised as relaxed fit so I ordered a Large. It was two large for me, so I returned it. I was going to re-order in a medium, but decided against it because it maybe too small. If I could ever find it in a local store to try on, I would consider a purchase again.

Great light weight jacket and keeps you warm

This is my second jacket! I have two colors! Really light weight and very warm in the winter!

My husband liked this jacket so much , I bought two! The green one and the regular Carhartt color one. He likes the fit and the light weight is still warm. Great looking too.

MDR JACKET REVIEW

Fits perfectly, good zipper and very good pockets; size, number, location and closures. Water repellent characteristics seem good but haven't given it the drenching rain test yet. Very satisfied. Highly recommend this jacket.

This jacket is tougher than it looks, I've worn it in adverse environments on many occasions fully expecting a tear, but after several months I've only managed to poke one very small hole in the outer layer of the sleeve. The zippers aren't nearly as smooth and heavy-duty as on my Carhartt Storm Defender, comparable to what you'd find on a hoodie. Other reviews say the jacket is cut long, based on this I ordered a regular instead of a tall, but this jacket actually seemed shorter than most others I've worn; I would definitely recommend buying a tall size if you have longer arms. Overall this jacket met expectations at its lower pricepoint.

great coat

i love the coat. fits good. only suggestion would be to add full swing arms

Runs too large

Runs way to large, had to return the XL for a L and probably needed a Medium - Despite wearing XLs with everything else.

Simple, good looking lightly insulated jacket - just what I was looking for.
