Simplicity is a virtue.

So many of today’s top-shelf cycling shorts and bibs seem to be way, way overbuilt. Once you take a closer look, you can’t help but wonder, ‘Do I really need all that?’ Often, the answer is no. The Capo Women’s Siena short doesn’t subscribe to the more-is-better theory of cycling apparel. The Siena is a simple, clean-fitting, high-quality short.

Capo made the Siena with HSC Lycra. This lightweight microfiber is stretchy and soft to the touch. Capo also added Meryl ActiSystem, a knit that not only helps the Siena hold its shape, but fights odors with its antibacterial properties.

The Siena incorporates Capo’s Veloce HD women’s insert. This anatomically designed, multi-density chamois features added padding under the sit bones and lower-density foam under the soft tissue areas, where pressure needs to be reduced. Capo finished the Siena with a yoga-style crossover waistband to minimize pinching and wide leg hems to keep the short in place.

Forgot I was wearing them!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

I've been cycling for 20 years AND searching for the perfect cycling shorts! Just wore these shorts for the first time today and actually never thought of them or my bike seat. That is, they were so comfortable and supportive, I simply focused on enjoying a challenging ride. These are flattering as well and I really like the leg bands as they don't cause the dreaded "sausage leg". In fact, these even give me a little "thigh gap" due to the compression.

Dreaded Leg Bands!

These shorts are great in every way (excellent chamois, quality fabric), except that the bands are just too tight and create the sausage appearance for me. I'm trying to find shorts with longer lengths to hide some of my middle age lumps...Why do they put these tight bands at the end that ruin the effort? Great for gals with firm, tight thighs without an oz of fluff :-)
