Alpine royalty.

Inspired by the crisp air, towering pines, and velvety mountain vistas in our hometown of Park City, Utah, we named the Capo Royal Street 2.0 Men's Jersey for the iconic Royal Street climb in the village. Now in its second year, the jersey receives a few aesthetic updates for 2016 but still boasts the same expert Capo construction. We’re happy to take artistic license with kit graphics, but we’re just as glad to let Capo’s classic Italian construction shine underneath the jersey’s striped and polka dotted print.

The main body of the Royal Street comprises an airy blend of polyester and elastane fibers, equipping it to handle temperatures far higher than those we primarily see on the sunny alpine roads in Park City. Capo shapes the silky, supple fabric into a contoured silhouette that manages to be streamlined without delving into unforgiving “aero” territory, giving you some room to stop for a mid-ride pastry break without broadcasting the consequences for the rest of your ride. As you pop over punchy climbs or settle in for longer, slower ascents, the fabric’s elastane content ensures it will hold its shape while breathing and pulling moisture away from your skin to keep you as cool and dry as possible.

To avoid magnifying the grueling struggle that defines the last moments of a climb, Capo includes its gel waist gripper to secure the bottom hem of the jersey in place, giving you the bunch-free freedom to stretch out or stand up tall as you crest walls. Mesh panels underneath the arms facilitate a little extra moisture transfer and ventilation in an area that usually needs it, while three rear pockets provide space to store your mid-ride pastry fund. The sleek gray, red, and white color palette diverges slightly from the classic black of last year, but is still adorned with our own tri-dot logo on the breast.

Just OK. Probably overpriced

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: large
  • Height: 6'1"
  • Weight: 175lbs

I purchase high end jerseys for riding. I saw this one on discount and thought I would pick it up. The cut is short. The zipper is robust. It is not race fit.

Overall, I don't like it for this price point. I would classify this as more of a "comfort" jersey. I think it would work better if I were 3-4 inches shorter as it does ride up and show some skin sometimes.

I would not purchase again.

The cut is bad, the front rides up to my belly button and I have to constantly pull this thing down. The collar chafes my neck and i can't zip all the way up.. The back pocket ripped after one use and now there is a hole in the jersey.. I wore this jersey on two long rides and won't wear again. In fact I won't ever by a capo product again.

Top notch jersey

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

This jersey is great!!! I originally bought a small as that is what I wear for my Giant jerseys, but had to exchange this for a medium. The fit is more snug than most for it's sizing and runs a little shorter than most in the front of the jersey. I could have lived with how snug the small was, but it was too short in the front and left a gap between the jersey and my bibs. Now that I have gotten a medium I am absolutely in love with the jersey. Great form fitting without any extra drag around the arms or waist. I bought the jersey on sale making it well worth the purchase, but I do not believe this is a $220 jersey.

Very small, returned

  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: small
  • Height: 5'10"
  • Weight: 150lbs

My husband bought this and says: I run between a small and medium in most shirts, bought a small because I want this to be tight. The small was VERRY small. I am 5'10", 38"chest, 31"waist and 150lbs. Material felt great. Found another jersey I like more that was cheaper so got that but probably would have gotten a large in this.

Not a two hundred dollar jersey

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

The zipper is janky and presses into the throat when all the way up, the materials are scratchy and uncomfortable, and the pockets are a little high. I ended up returning this item before actual use. Fits tight as expected.
