Back for another year of streamlined speed, the Capo 2016 Rosa Bib Shorts bring equal doses of masterful design and go-fast functionality into your cycling kit. Building off last year's iteration, the 2016 Rosa Bib Shorts retain notable hues of pink, red, and grey for eye-catching brilliance, but with an intricate crosshatching pattern that's sure to turn heads as you zip down your favorite stretch of winding road. We may be somewhat biased towards our Competitive Cyclist collaborative pieces, but we'd gladly wear these bib shorts over hordes of homogeneous kits, thanks to stunning aesthetics and near-obsessive attention to detail.
The 2016 Rosa Bib Shorts employ Capo's Ceramica Lycra throughout the body. As its name implies, this material comes from natural clay-based yarns. Ultimately, Ceramica increases circulation and thermo-regulation when you're riding rigorously through oppressive summer temperatures. You'll immediately notice the fabric's distinctive honeycomb structure, which increases surface area to rapidly disperse built-up perspiration for cool-wearing bliss. This tight-knit, 36-gauge material stabilizes key muscle groups to reduce fatigue on the road, also lending extra durability. In fact, Capo targeted the inner thigh and saddle panels with this material to combat premature wear from abrasion.
Moving to the side leg panels, Capo's high-gauge (HG) Lycra is highly compressive and resistant to abrasion from spirited rides and training efforts alike. It's finished with a Coldblack treatment that repels scorching UV rays, much like a lightly colored textile. This treatment won't wash out, retaining a cool, comfortable sensation through the sunniest rides of the year. Along the upper bibs, the 2016 Rosa Bib Shorts use V-Mesh 360. This open mesh fabric offers a highly elastic, supple feel, striking an optimal balance between stay-put support and airy-cool comfort.
Revised for this year, laser-cut leg endings retain a secure, slip-free fit with the use of a grippy, texturized lining material. This single-layer cuff optimizes aerodynamic efficiency by reducing drag along the shorts' leading edges. Retaining the same padding as the last iteration, the 2016 Rosa Bib Shorts feature Capo's Anatomic-DP Carbon Elastic Interface Technology (EIT) Insert. This chamois features high-density, open-cell foam bonded to a microfiber layer with carbon fiber threads for enhanced moisture management and natural antimicrobial properties. Additionally, its 6mm and 8mm-thick pads are integrated into a pre-curved shape that maximizes support and shock absorption on longer rides.

I purchased the 2015 version of this kit, both jersey and shorts and immediately fell in love with them. The colors were what drew me to buying them and capo has always had a reputation of having good quality stuff. I purchased two kits of these, alternating them every day and they both lasted a good while! In fact I still wear one of the kits and they're a good 8 months old now and just starting to show signs of fading. I purchased these thinking they would be even better after reading the description and I've have the opposite results. From the gun the bottom cuffs never laid flat on my leg. There was an obvious lip that curled up at the seam. I thought "ok, i can live with that." but I was sorely mistaken. I purchased these two months ago and have worn them two to three times a week and they are already trashed, they look worse than the 2015 kit which are four times as old and probably 1000 more miles on them. The colors are faded, the bottoms are curling up and catch the wind as I ride. What once used to be an eye-catching quality kit in 2015 has taken a huge leap backwards in 2016. I'm assuming the other capo kits are the same quality and material so I am steering clear of capo for a while. Im glad I waited for these to come on sale before I bought these. Capo has broken my heart. :'(
