The normal thinking in cycling is that third is great on the day, but only the top step of the podium is remembered. Considering that the Italian-inspired Capo is akin to the grand tour of clothing companies, though, being number three on its roster is a cause for celebration, not lamentation. The GS Jersey returns for another year rounding out the Capo podium. It imports many of the same features as the Drago — which plays lieutenant to the Padrone SL's captain on team Capo — so the GS shapes highly technical fabrics that combine muscle support and thermal regulation with a streamlined race fit.
Capo constructed the back of the jersey with Carbon ES fabric, which is a highly elastic, dual-knit microfiber polyester with visible antimicrobial carbon-core threads running throughout. The Carbon ES material also accelerates moisture transfer and drying time, while keeping you effectively shielded from harmful UV rays.
The front panel yields a contoured race fit courtesy of its WarpStretch microfiber material, which also has a hydrophilic treatment that pulls moisture up and away from your skin. The GS jersey's underarms use contrasting Eyelet Mesh microfiber panels that have a distinct waffle-like texture. This creates a fine-gauge surface that's raised off of your skin for built-in air vents that keep you cool and expedite drying time.
- Item #CAP004A
- Q & A
Poor Pocket Design
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: Large
The design of the right rear pocket spoils an overall nice jersey. The use of a rigid fabric for the 2nd right rear pocket means that almost nothing fits into either pocket. Don't even consider a cell phone here, as mine nearly fell out a few times while riding..
