    Push it to the limit.

Built for big guys that like big speed and big airs, the Capita Wide WarpSpeed Snowboard is designed to charge hard all over every inch of the mountain. A bevy of high-performing features come together for a powerful board that carves hard, floats in powder, and manhandles just about everything in between.

The WarpSpeed's formula to high-speed freeride domination starts with its Alpine V2 profile, which is mostly camber for response and edge hold, with rocker at the nose for float in the deep stuff, and a flat-to-rocker section at the tail that helps you transition smoothly out of turns and power through fresh landings. Its stiffer flex won't give out on you when you're railing carves or charging steep terrain. New Amplitex V-Tech Amplifier brings the response of carbon while offering a damp flex, and new Forged Carbon Tips bring ultralight reinforcement at the nose and tail. Holysheet fiberglass with Magic Bean resin has a higher strength-to-weight ratio than normal fiberglass to bring you a more powerful, dynamic feel. Capita finished it off with their ultra-dense Hyperdrive base with a new Moonshot Pro-Tune to satisfy the speed junkie in you.

    Notes on flex

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Don't believe any snowboard reviews you may have read stating that this board is overly stiff and aggressive. I find the 2018 Capita BSOD, 2019 Ride Warpig, and the 2019 Ride Mtnpig to be much stiffer when compared on the floor. The bamboo rods definitely stiffen things up under foot and just outside the inserts but the middle has a really nice, firm, spring to it. I can't flex the Warpig or the Mtnpig. My upper body just isn't strong enough. I own each and can't wait to see how they compare on snow. Granted they have vastly different shapes and they'll each serve a different purpose in my quiver.

About as good as you can get working a 9-5 and only riding 40-60 days a season.

The Warpspeed is Capita's dedicated wide, freeride board. The Warpspeed has the same camber profile as Capita's Black Snowboard of Death, and panda core of the Mercury and Kazu boards. The Warpspeed is no joke, it also has a progressive side cut that keeps it quick edge to edge. With added forged carbon tip and tail inserts, the Warpspeed is super maneuverable for a wide deck. Another added bonus for 2018 is the Super Drive tune on the base. The BSOD and Warpspeed both come with a factory structure in the base that is tuned for speed. This is a premium freeride board for the rider whose looking for a high end charger to add to their quiver.

    BSOD for big feet!

This board rips like a Black Snowboard of Death, but built extra wide for those with larger feet! What I really like about this board is that it doesn't ride like a standard wide. Capita took weight out of the nose and tail with carbon fiber, and put a sidecut with a quicker exit out of a turn than normal. Both of these things work together to make the board feel like it has a normal width which isn't slow into and out of turns, which was always the drawback of wide snowboards. So definitely give the warp speed a chance, it is what Phil Jaques used to win the Dirksen Derby and get 3rd in the Baker LBS last year!
