Spring Break Mini Tree Hunter Snowboard

Exclusive to the Capita x Spring Break series, the Mini Tree Hunter's Surf Rocker offers zero camber underfoot and a Surf Rock nose and tail for effortless float on deep days, while the directional shape and wide waist width allows you to size down. However, Capita didn't stop at shape and rocker when it comes to taking inspiration from surfboards. The Surflite 2.0 core is thicker than your average core, but it's actually lighter and enhances buoyancy thanks to all the additional microscopic air pockets (just think about how thick surfboards are and how well they float in water). Capita added Forged Carbon Diamond Packs around the inserts for lightning-fast response when you're weaving through trees and exploding out of powder. If you're looking for a maneuverable powder board that smoothly surfs deep snow and navigates through tight trees, look no further than the Mini Tree Hunter.
  • Weave through trees and surf powder with this freeride powder board
  • Surf Rocker profile is based on smooth surfboard profiles
  • Tapered directional shape keeps nose up in the deepest snow
  • Surflite 2.0 core is thicker, yet light and more buoyant
  • Forged Carbon Quad packs enhance response and strength
  • Holysheet triax and biax fiberglass for more dynamic ride
  • Plant-based Magic Bean resin offers eco-friendly performance
  • Powder Drive sintered base is ultra-dense for extreme speed

Fun, rides like a skateboard

I've put it through the wringer

This deck is awesome. It is light and flexible despite the medium flex in the tech specs. This board sets you down nice and easy when dropping cliffs into deep snow without you needing to sit way back. The volume shifted shape makes it super fun in the trees and for launching off side hits too. Push it down into the snow and feel it launch you up and out. While it is directional I haven't had many issues riding switch as long as I make sure to shift my weight accordingly. My only gripe with the board is it bucks you quite a bit when the snow is choppy, but once you get used to that it's not so bad.

Such a fun board!

I've put it through the wringer

My brother and I both picked up the 161 Tree Hunter. It’s light and floaty. It quickly became my daily driver as it was just plain fun in all conditions. Railing turns and slashing are where it excels. I always thought it would be skiddish on big jumps just because of the construction but it performed well. My one complaint was the base is very soft and the top sheet is flimsy. My faired ok but my brother’s was beat after 2 days of riding. It could have something to do with the construction. Idk. Anywho I’ve moved on from this board yesterday and I’m sure I’ll miss it. If you want a super fun board look no further.

I've put it through the wringer

I've had a 161 Treehunter in my quiver since Spring Break started their first season and with this shape in the line. I've had a couple now, no wonder it's stayed consistent in the SB Powder shapes every year since. This is obviously at home riding powder, but the Tree Hunter rails on groomers as well. I ride this board just as much around the resort on a hard pack groomer day as much as I mount it up for the storm. The side cut on this board and extended waist widths really allow you to get up on it and rail this board. Now that there is a 151 available, I grabbed one for my wife.
