    Defenders of Awesome Snowboard

The Capita Defenders of Awesome is undoubtedly the flagship snowboard of the Capita line, and has won Transworld Snowboarding's Good-Wood award every year since it's inception, 7 years running. This all-mountain freestyle wrecking machine is a do-it-all Swiss army knife of snowboards, whether you're hitting a backcountry booter, ripping pow lines, hiking the park setup, or hitting rails in the streets.

It all starts with Capita's well-known Resort V1 Profile. A large traditional camber section that extends 5cm past the inserts provides unmatched pop, power, and edge hold to give you reliable performance on any terrain, and flat zones just outside the camber area act as stable platforms for pressing while reducing the chances to catch your edge. Rockered tips enable float when throwing clouds of cold smoke on powder days and improve turn initiation for more fluid turns. Two carbon fiber beams running the length of the board add power and response, and Fortress KEVLAR® bound sidewalls add heavy duty protection when ripping park laps and jibbing off natural features. The FSC Certified Dual core is made from poplar and beech for a lively feel, and it's wrapped up in biaxial Special Blend Fiberglass for increased strength and a consistent flex pattern. The new Quantum Drive sintered base is made from high-density polyethylene for ultra-performance and durability all season long.

If you haven't tried a DOA for yourself, what are you waiting for? Capita's best selling board has a cult following for a reason. If your lucky enough to spend ample time on the hill each season and need a board for doing laps with your friends, hiking the park, railing groomers, hunting pow in the trees, a ridge line hike for the goods or a banked slalom with the boys, look no further. The DOA has you back.

    Best seller for a reason

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This board gets more accolades and awards than any other board in the Capita line, and its purely because of how truly versatile it is. You don't need to be a pro to ride it, but the pros love riding it. You can go ride pow, or go lap the park. You can ride jumps all day, or rails. The DOA has a slightly more playful nose and tail making it easy to play around, but still stomps landings with a meatier cambered mid section. The reverse in the nose and tail make it truly catch free spinning out of whatever rail trick you are doing, and that doubles as good float in pow. If you are an intermediate to a pro and want one board to rule them all, the DOA is the move.
